Lifter Fail While Camping

That sucks. Apparently mine was built at the worst time (Dec 2020) but so far ok.
Only 19K miles though.

My truck came with a 50 dollar credit from chevy for not having the displacement on demand. I see people spend big money fixing the problems it causes. I think i got a good deal.

You still have the mechanicals which is what fails. Only the computer chips controlling it are what is missing.

My lifter failed 20 seconds after a cold remote start. I was standing next to the truck and heard it go with a loud crack. Your Pulsars and DFM bypass have nothing to do with it.

Update on my 2022 Trailboss LT. After 3 months at the dealership I finally got the truck back, They had to replace the motor, starter, radiator, battery and fuse box. Don't know all the other stuff had to be replaced but they did. I was dealing with GM and the case manager said she was going to reimburse the 3 months car note and give me a extended warranty on the motor for 36k miles or 36 months. I have left voice messages and Emails and still haven't heard back from her. It's has been 3 weeks when it was the last time I spoke to her. I got the Truck back 4 days ago and so far is riding good.

That's a crazy amount of down time but glad you got your truck back!

I have a 2022 TB 2.7L with over 28K miles and no issues with AFM. I do find it hilarious AFM was included on a 2.7L, but the engine has been bulletproof so far. It’s my overland rig with 35s, re-geared, recalibrated, with a combined 6” of lift. I trimmed the wheelhouse flaps and replaced both bumpers with steel ones and added a front hitch receiver for a winch.

... and added a front hitch receiver for a winch.
Where did you purchase your front receiver from? Did you install it yourself, or did you have a shop do it?

I just had the dreaded issue on my 6.2 at 47,500 after the dealer tear down found cam, lifter , crank damage! Cranks are 13 + months out . Dealer pushed issue an I got a new long block installed so hopefully will have all upgraded lifters and good to go

I went with this: Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" - Item # C22NR

I had a local shop do the install. They needed to do some fab work. They also said they would let me know if they ran into a roadblock with the 2.7 turbo plumbing. The truck is back at their shop for a snorkel install.

Hey, thanks for the reply. They needed to modify the front receiver?
I needed to do some fab work on mine.

This seems to confirm that there is STILL NO front receiver unit that will simply bolt right up to our Trail Boss trucks. There are differences in the geometry of the front underside versus regular Silverado's. There may also be differences from one Assembly location to another, because some of the "stock" components look like they are welded on very late in the truck completion.

edit: my front receiver was from Draw-Tite.
