So many variables to consider.
It depends on your ultimate goal. Mine were mostly cosmetic but also wanted a capable truck for light off road use.
Went with a ReadyLift 2in kit, Toyo 295-70s on stock TB wheels. Added a bunch of
personal preference cosmetic stuff.
Dollar for dollar my best mod was a 30in LED light bar mounted behind the grill. I use it every morning 445am on the 3 mile narrow, curvy, animal populated, road to get me to the freeway then another 10 miles to work. Best $100 I’ve ever spent.

How’s that ready lift kit .., looking for control arms and seems that I can get a 2 inch lift with arms for the same price some control arms are going for … just wonder if the cv’s are going to be in danger when suspension flex’s … looks good for sure.

Ty, it's been a labor of luv.
I’m at a point now I’m ready to lift as well …. anything about the lift bother you ? ride … handling ? I ask this because I’m on the Baja and do spend time on long pavement runs but then need 35 to 37 s to get me where I need to go… a lot of heavy potholed single dirt roads that go off for miles want to be able to run them at speed with large diameter rubber and soft compliant suspension …. guys buy 40 k razors for those roads where I’d rather utilize my Boss … 😎

I’ll be headed to over 8,000 foot elevation today. Last 50 miles in Auto 4wd. I’ll you know how it goes.

The lift is great and well built, but the upper control arms are separate cost. One thing I will be changing is the shocks. This lift company will not cover warranty issues if you change out their shocks. So keeping that in mind, I am keeping current until out of warranty and getting better shocks at that time. It's just a real stiff ride right now with the McGaughy's shocks. I am in a lot of sand or mud here in Florida, rocky terrain is not an issue here.

Thank you for your time … I let you know the shocks a acquaintance uses that are nice and soft but progressive… I believe they were Fox’s I’ll keep you in the loop
Thanks for your time !

You're welcome and thank you.

Yes. The LED bar throws a lot of light a long way. Mine is a LASFIT purchased on Amazon for $90 a yr ago.
I've seen $100 30in curved double row LED bars that mount on the front bumper. I'd bet they put out a ton of light with no grill obstruction.

JUST the bracket ALONE is over $150!

SmllDckEngy here. Anyone with 37's, 39's or 40+? why not?

I believe anything bigger than 35s you start to lose the balance between a nice practical / reliable / smooth truck you can drive anywhere, to something you wouldn't necessarily want to road trip 1000 miles. Many will disagree with me but that's how I feel at almost 60 yrs old. It was different in my younger years. I had a Toyota 4x4 with a 12in lift and 38s:p
