What's new

New member, new Trail Boss

Howdy folks, my name is Jared. I joined the forum about a week ago but have been lurking for a few months while I waited on a truck.
About that (and I’ll try to summarize), I ordered a 2024 Boss in slate gray metallic, with leather and the 6.2, around the first of November through a local dealer. Well, after 3 months passed and my order had yet to be accepted by GM I got impatient. I rebuilt the truck on the Chevrolet website and started checking inventory matches nearby. I found one, plus a few options, in transit to Kingsport, TN. After a quick call and deposit I was playing the waiting game again. Flash forward another month and I picked the truck up this past Monday. Already having a few mods lined up, it went in yesterday for the following:
Readylift 4” lift, Vossen HF6-4 22”x10” et -18, Maxxis Razr AT 35x12.50, amp steps, tint, and of course a mud flap delete. It’s raining this evening so I only snagged one pic, and it definitely needs a bath, so more to come.
So far I’m loving this truck, and you all seem like a solid bunch. I’m excited to learn and contribute when I can. I’ve been in the bmw scene for a longtime, but grew up in a bow tie household so it’s great to be back! View attachment 8317

What % tint did you do and what brand? Looks balanced front to back and a good color match.
I just got confirmation from the installer that it was 20% Lumar dyed tint.

Love it! Congrats, the color is special.
I got the 3.0 diesel and love it. Very responsive and rides great! Averaging up to 34 mpg on the highway and 26 city.

That’s awesome. My 3.0 is suppose to come in next week. I wasn’t interested in the diesel at first but test drove one and was really impressed by how quiet, smooth, and powerful it was. And have seen great reviews including yours so far.

Sign up for the Shell Rewards Program if you want to save on diesel. I am getting $.05 off now, soon going to $.10 off per gal. They push notifications out for up to $.25 off per gal.

I bought a 2024 Custom Trail boss 3.0 diesel and my son bought a 2024 Trail Boss LT 3.0 diesel. Smooth ride, quiet and has a lot of power if you need it, so much of a response I would not test it on wet pavement!
I have a GMC 2500hd Duramax Denali and If I wanted to downsize I would buy the Trail Boss.
My wife took over the Trail Boss diesel and sold her Honda CRV. she didn’t want to get a diesel.
She loves it! Every time I reach for her keys she growls at me!!

I've been known to growl at other people for much less. Be happy you haven't been bitten yet, lol.
