Ordered...But how long?

Hello...
I ordered a new 2022 Trail Boss (Sand Dune Metallic) at my dealer's on May 27th. ...It is June 23rd today.
I didn't really follow what my dealer was trying to explain about the order not being at GM until a slot opens up & they accept it. ...But it was something along those lines.
Anyway, does anyone have a guesstimate as to how long it might be before GM accepts my order?
It would just be nice to know that the wheels are in motion. ...so to speak.
Right now, I feel like I don't want to get my hopes up that I'll even get the truck. ...since GM hasn't even accepted the order yet.
I appreciate any feedback.

It took about six months for me to get mine if that helps you any.
I have the sand dune and I love it.

I think six months would be on the longer end. Dealers usually have their allocations pop up and he will do his best to keep you informed as was my salesman for my 2020 to 2500

Must have been built short then. There were tons of trucks "In Transit" when I was trying to buy mine that had the options I wanted but were all 5.3's. I think the reason I got mine so quick was because I opted for the 6.2.

Mine is also a 6.2. Mine never even showed up “In Transit” on the dealership website until AFTER I officially bought the truck in May 2022, 3 months after it was officially built on 2/1.

All ”In Transit” means is that the GM sent an invoice to the dealership for the truck, it could still be sitting in the plant’s overflow parking lot.

Is my order going to go through and am I going to get my truck?

What engine did you order it with. The 6.2L are on constraint for the rest of the year, so if yours is a 6.2L that hasn’t been built yet, then you are probably waiting until 2023.
