Pass Inspection = No Extended Warranty

Here is a copy of the letter I received yesterday:

For clarity, the letter states that the 10/150K warranty is for that specific issue only.

Lifter issues at 100K isnt covered.

lifter issues at 100K would not be covered anyway, powertrain coverage ends at 60K...unless YOUR TRUCK had a specific writer added or extended coverage that warrantied that defect

If your truck has the 6.2 AND it's recalled for the Crank/Rod issue AND it passes inspection, the warranty is extended to 10 Years/150,000 Miles but ONLY for the Crank/Rod issue targeted by the recall.

agreed...I UNDERSTAND the writings I see on paper. it seems others may be confused...hence why I stated unless additional writers or coverage was purchased.

Not a lot of confidence in GM standing behind that warranty in 6-7 years. Let’s hope they don’t start looking for reasons to not honor this warranty.

This is what happens when your customer base loses confidence in your company.

Just had my inspection today. Passed. Had oil/filter change, new insert for owners manual and new cap for engine. Service advisor also stated my engine warranty will be updated in the next few days (10/150000). He also said there was another recall for my truck involving the ECU that is coming out thursday. They did that update too. Don't know if it's an actual recall though. My truck is the updated 2022 with 21000 miles. I think it was built in Jun/July of 2022. No problems (noises/performance/etc) with the engine since new, except for when the squirrels decided to chew up some of my engine wiring harness.

OK, the 10/150,000 warrantee showed up on my Chevy app today. My dealership and the GM help line don't know what they are doing. Sorry for the misleading post, it took about two weeks for it to show up.

is there ANY noticeable difference in performance (of any kind), curious what the ECU recall is about, first i have heard of that one...

I’m sure I’m not the only one debating what to do next, passed inspection & my warranty was updated. Was originally planning on trading my truck in, but I really like this Damm truck, now thinking about riding it out 🤷‍♂️
