Possible to add Dark Essentials Package?

I was at my dealer's parts shop yesterday and they said I couldn't order the blacked out Z71 from them, but I could likely find it on Amazon, but they said they didn't have it for me to order.

Looks like they were wrong based on link above and other post. Thanks guys. $85 gives you all 3. How hard to change the litte one in the grill?
I changed the big ones on the front fender, but decided against changing the little one on the grill. I did change the letters out. The little Z71 emblem is set up like the letters, with just tabs that snap into place. I removed the letters with a small screwdriver and imagine the little Z71 would be just as easy...

I posted about it here: https://www.trailboss.org/threads/new-grill-letters.1565/

And these are the red ones from Chevy that replace the gray ones, not the overlays mentioned by other on this forum.

The one on the grill is easy as long as you don't care about the old emblem...changed mine in just a few minutes

Yeah, I broke the clips and the back plate off of the little one too. Amazon one should come with a new back plate, mine did.

Pretty sure they have taken the blacked out Z71 badge down now. Clicked the link looking for it and it comes back with an error and I have found nothing when searching for it from Chevy. Amazon has some but I don’t think they look as good as the OEM ones.

Anyone see anything different lately?

I can still see it, see if this link works. It's straight to Chevrolet's website:

I can't help but wonder if the Dark Essentials package was a direct result of a consumer lead purchasing decision. I added dark essentials before there was a dark essentials because I wanted what the midnight edition trucks had with everything blacked out. Several of us on another forum sought out the part numbers for things like the Z71 badge on the fender from the Carhartt edition trucks, and the black exhaust tips from the midnight edition models. All the other items were available through GM Accessories. Now you can find the black exhaust cutouts listed in the GM Performance catalog. Other people opted to powder coat or spray paint the exhaust cutouts and use plastidip on the badges. But, you know GM would never take the initiative to say something like "Dark Essentials was a consumer-lead initiative that we decided to make more easily available. We're listening to our customers and try to deliver on what they want." Just saying that would make people think, "Wow! They're really listening to their customer base. I like that in a company." One of GM's biggest failures is within their marketing department. I'll get off my soap box now.

Isn't it just copying Dodge? Heck, in my town every other Dodge Ram I see is a black one with all black badges.

I don't know. I don't pay attention to Dodge. I just thought black looks better with blue than chrome does.

Oh I'm with ya, the only chrome left on my truck is the door handle buttons and the bowties on the wheel caps. Chrome is for old guys and classic cars. 😝

Completely agree. I'm in the same boat. Only chrome bowtie on wheel caps and little button on front door handles.
