I have over 130K miles on my original front and rear pads, and they feel great so I will be sticking with OEM when I replace them. I am curious though, what makes the Power Stop pads so great in yall's opinions?
Interesting. My experience has been quite different. In fact, putting them on our 2019 Tahoe now.I tried to run this kit twice, Once on 15 suburban and once on 19 Yukon xl. Both times I took them off and went with something else. I read so many positive reviews and so much hype , but for me these things squeaked to holy hell before they got warmed up for me here in the Midwest. Did they stop great while towing…absolutely , but the noice was like nails on a chalkboard as I left them neighborhood. So my experiences were vastly different than the comments.
I went with Hawk products and was much happier .
I just put the PowerStop Sport kit on mine and flushed the entire system. My rears actually went first with only 36k miles. I can definitely feel a much better pedal response apposed to the OEM’s. 71k miles seems like an awful lot of miles and you definitely got your moneys worth. If you’re doing pads you might as well do rotors. If you don’t want to spend that much I’ve always used NAPA metallics on other vehicles.2020 TrailBoss. Need front pads. 71000 miles, front pads @ 20% remaining, rear pads @ 79% remaining.
Doesn't seem right... Which pads to go with up front?
My rears went early also at around the same mileage. We live half way up a hill, in a hilly area, but by no means mountainous. I like to tell myself it is because of this and not that I am an overly hard user of the brakes, but this has not happened on any of our other vehicles. I am about 10k miles into the PowerStops and since replaced the brakes and pads on our 2019 Tahoe with them.I just put the PowerStop Sport kit on mine and flushed the entire system.
