I ended up having my ECM and TCM unlocked by HP Tuners so I could do tuning. Part of that tuning concept was to completely "Disable" the DFM and Auto Stop/Start mechanisms. So, since I did this unlock procedure, I no longer needed the Range module.

Yup, jfboss, TuffGonG is absolutely correct! I used to have a Range Technology module and it is very simple to attach and remove from the ECM. A quick pull back of the front engine bay side of the wheel liner is all is needed to gain access to the ECM.

Also consider if you happen drive to through some flooded torrential rains where the water could enter the wheel well. Hopefully, the Range has thought that one through. Just saying.

Apparently GM did not think that one through...not so much Range (they are simply having their product added to the ECM).
