Price increase 6.2

I Was just looking on the web at a local dealer found at 2023 Silverado Lt Trail Boss crew cab with the 6.2 Ecotec 3. Listed under options the price for the 6.2 is $3890 VS $2495 that was the same option on my 2022 LTD Silverado Trail Boss. That's a difference of $1395
thank "Build Back Better" for that...

Upgrade is well worth it as has been said. Reality is that the price increase will make it no easier to get your hand on one. Be prepared to wait or expand your net if looking for in stock inventory.

On my 21 Custom it was only $2500 to bump up to the 6.2 vs the base 4.3 V6. I think it was $1500 for the 5.3 but it only had the 6 speed auto in Custom trim.

When I ordered my 22' Refreshed TB at the end of February 22' the 6.2L was the same price. I'm very happy with the 6.2L. View attachment 4963
Hi I have this exact description on my new 2023 6.2 high country . I hate the shitty DFM It makes my truck run like crap! loss of power ticking noise at times shaking a little bit like its misfiring drives me nuts!! wish there was a solution for this huge nation wide problem! BTW how does your 6.2 drive?

I don't have any loss of power. The shaking and ticking is all DFM unfortunately 😕 😔.
The 6.2L/10spd towing and normal driving is great otherwise.

I've been using the L9 trick and I must say it actually works . Engine runs right nice exhaust tone the 6.2 is a powerful engine to have . I'm going to install my cold air and my spacer and my new exhaust this weekend . I'll let you all know how it goes . Thanks guys I'll be back.. :-)

The Chevrolet Performance, GMC and Cadillac Cold Air Intake System (RPO 5W7, RVK) available on 2021 Camaro, Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Sierra, Yukon and Escalade models equipped with the 5.3L V8 engine (RPO L84), 6.2L V8 engine (RPO L87) or 6.2L V8 engine (RPO LT1) should only be installed on vehicles that were ordered with the RPO/LPO (dealer installed) option. (Fig. 17) The Cold Air Intake System requires a calibration from the Techline Customer Support Center (TCSC), which is not available for vehicles without the proper RPO/LPO 5W7 or RVK option.

The Cold Air Intake System is a Limited Production Option (LPO) that can be ordered with the vehicle at the time of purchase. It is not to be installed or sold as an Accessory Catalog Offering (ACO), or over-the-counter accessory, as the calibration is not available for ACO applications. If installed on an incorrect vehicle, the Check Engine MIL may illuminate and DTCs P0172 (Fuel Trim System Rich) and P0175 (Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 2) may set.
i have mentioned this, numerous times with the rebuttal of "it sounds faster, feels better"....there are numerous DYNO reports showing evidence this happens more often that not...do you get a MIL ? most cases do not, as it doesnt trip the sensor for being out of range...but it is over fueling. gains of up 40+ hp have been made after cleaning up the fuel trim due to a few miles with a CAI.

I want to hit on this topic and gather some thoughts...
recently I installed the Banks I-dash in my 6.2, i am now even more heavily lean towards the 3K to tune it...

couple things i noticed, this last drive was again a 1500 mile road trip
1. the AFR commanded NEVER went below 14.7, and under throttle it would trip my alarm limit of 15.5, sometimes seeing 16:1
2. under very light load cruising speeds, it was indicating an advancement of the timing to +44 ( most driving was about +18-+22)

now, GM has these tuned to their emissions requirements, i heard no knocking (running 93 mostly) and it was running great in temps around 40-60*F. But, i fell that AFR is leaving power behind. i have seen dyno vids of 60hp gains just tuning the 6.2, simply be cleaning up the fuel trims, and me having an intake tube and full dual exhaust, really makes me want to see whats left in it.

I have stainless works headers that will be here next week and I plan to get them on asap with a tune following asap after. I really have been holding back on getting the tune but I feel like there is so much more to unlock even with the 5.3 I have.
