Pulsar LT vs L9

I had the Pulsar and recently went with the Diablosport Predator 2. I needed some extra power due to some recent addons. Wasn't ready to bite the bullet for HP tuning. One thing I do like about the DS is that it allows your sport mode to be on when you start the vehicle. We all know we hate switching everything on or off every time we drive. I am going to be selling the Pulsar soon if anybody is interested.

I picked up a tip on of all places Instagram. Check your gear ratio once you install the Pulsar LT. Evidently it comes with 3.73 programming…and the TrailBoss is 3.23 so you have to correct that. Just fyi.
I know this is an ancient thread, but I just installed my Pulsar LT. It was pre set to 3.23 gear ratio. However the window sticker on my 2021 Custom TB 5.3 liter states the gear ratio on my truck is 3.42 Is this the norm for the Custom 5.3? Just wanted some input before reprogramming from 3.23 to 3.42.

The tuner adds power, whereas the Pulsar LT is just a functionality adjuster. The tuner has all of those same functions but also re-writes the ECM to advance spark for better mid-range horsepower and torque. But the Pulsar was nice because it allows you to adjust functions with steering wheel controls, and the tuner needs like 10 minutes to re-program everything.
Tuner will Void your warranty. Pulsar LT will not. as long as you remove it before taking it in for service at the dealer.

Go by the sticker on your window, or better yet...the Rearend tag, run the numbers and use WHAT IT IS.

Exact same thing with the tuner. I had to return mine to stock and bring it in for warranty work, they didn't say or notice a thing.
