Range DFM disable for the 22+ refresh…

Me too! It's easy to get to from the looks of it on the '24 though...at least from looking at the video on the Range website. I'll find out shortly. 🤣
Yea its not bad. Because our TB has a 2 inch lift no need to remove tire. Turn your wheel all the way left to give yourself plenty of space. It took about a minute to install.

One of the very few times in my life that I watched the installation before ordering.

I wasn't expecting it to be down in the flood plains either.

I installed the Range DFM disabler today... what a difference! It's nice to have all ponies available all the time. Throttle response is on point with no BS. After I fill my tank this weekend I'll repost on my gas mileage change. I kinda drove it like I stole it after installation today...

For me, finally disabling DFM hurt a bit. Going to lightweight 35's didn't cost me anything, adding a steel high-clearance bumper and winch cost me about 1mpg. Disabling DFM has cost me another 2mpg consistently. I was surprised by that because I had AFM disabled on my 2010 Tahoe and it cost something like 0.5mpg at most. I'm now getting about what that Tahoe got in stock form - around 16mpg in mixed driving.

Mine isn't an everyday commute vehicle. Before the purchase my wife asked me about gas mileage.

My reply, "I don't know and it doesn't matter. I want to get a fairly nice new V8 powered truck before I get any older."

We do most times take my truck when going to the beach or mountains, but vacations are always expensive.

I have the Range DFM disabler as well and cannot wait to install it. It apparently will also disable the Auto Start/Stop which is a bonus! I am currently awaiting the GM Buyback for my '22 Custom TB because I filed a Lemon Law case and have already put a down payment on a '25 LT Trail Boss. My case is supposed to be resolved within the next 24 days and then I will have my '25! I am planning to purchase an extended Bumper to Bumper which will put me back about $4075 for an additional 3 years and up to 75,000 miles.

hold off on that extended warranty, look into KNAPP, they have better pricing for GM extended warranties
Thank you. I will look into that from KNAPP.

Here is an interesting section from the KNAPP info you mentioned. Since I plan to install a 4 inch lift and larger tires (35x12.50R 18), I am concerned about this a bit.

i would bet most say that, you would have to disclose and agree to any NON OE parts

Yea, Knapp quoted me the below on my 24 fully loaded LT TB. Glad I didn't buy yet though with this recall I am involved in.

Plus, if you have a lot of your manufacturer's warranty left as I do ( I only have 3700 miles on my vehicle), I am in no rush to purchase one for awhile. I am just researching companies as well. I have read decent reviews about Autopom! as well.
