It easy to see this when comparing our Trail Boss trucks to, in my opinion, the closest competitor, the Ford F-150 Tremor. To me the Tremor's pricing has gotten out of control and appears to me to be missing a true apples to apples trim level to the LT Trail Boss.
While there are a few conveniences I still think the LT Trail Boss should come with at its price (notably - auto dim driver side and center mirror, memory for power driver seat, and power folding mirrors), the High Equipment trim of the Tremor is more that $10k over the LT Trim even when the Trail Boss is fully loaded and with the 6.2.
Now I will admit that the Tremor high group, in addition to some other niceties (it really is more like an LTZ), comes with the Raptor T-Case and the Torsen Front diff, which is an upgrade for sure, but one that would be a mandatory choice for me given it appears the base Tremor doesn't have 4 Auto (which is a must for me with winter driving and why I didn't/won't even consider a Tundra or Rebel) and even if it does, from my experiences with the regular Ford 4Auto T-Case in the Lariat/Platinum, that transfer case is junk). But 10K is a lot of money, and approaching $80k is ZR2 Bison territory.
