What's new

Welcome to TrailBoss.org - Introduce yourself!

Just hopped on the Trail Boss bandwagon this past week. So far, I'm still in the "honeymoon phase"! Traded a 2015 Nissan Titan Pro4x in on this truck, and so far seems to have been worth it. Looking forward to taking the roads less-traveled in my new Chevy!

Well after deciding that my bought new 2005 Z71 was ready to find a new owner I started looking. Settled on a loaded, 6.2, white 2020 trail boss. I'm liking that motor and the package. I agree that the cavernous console in the middle is kind of useless. I also think they should have left the hidyhole behind the screen like on my Tahoe.

Hi, I traded in a 2003 Ram 2500 in March and bought a 2020 Trail Boss. I’ve been a Chevy guy my whole life and have owned many but this is my first new truck ever. I love this truck, I love the look, the ride, and the power but I have just 2 major complaints. 1- why would you build a truck for off road and call it the trail boss and then sell it with no fender liners in the rear wheel wells? The first time I took it in the mud I had to spend an hour with a high pressure hose to get all of the mud out that was packed into every crease and nook and cranny of the wheel wells. 2-I think every single truck should have storage in the center console and under the center seat. The weird little extra compartment above the glove box I could do without, it’s useless. View attachment 29
Mine came with wheel well liners in the front and back, but you can get them from a GM dealership for $150. They are high quality felt liners.

Hello everybody, I had to scour the earth for this truck back in June when the GM plants were closed. I found this one in California, had them ship it to me (sticker says the date of manufacture 5/20 must have been the first shipments out after the factory reopened). Now that I've had it for a few months I can tell you the throttle response of the 6.2 is night and day compared truck I had with the 5.3. I defiantly plan on switching the shocks to Bilsteins, Ranchos are a bit rough on dirt roads, I'm not trying to rattle my dash apart in the first year!

Hello everyone. I'm from western NY. I was in the market for a new truck earlier this year. I wasn't set on one particular make or model, but got to the point to where it seemed like "If you've seen one, you've seen them all". That's when I stumbled upon the Trail Boss! As soon as I saw them, I knew that's the truck I wanted! I pulled the trigger in February and decided on getting the satin steel metallic and love the color! I just gave it a good wash and wax, possibly it's last before getting covered with dirt and mud this hunting season! LOL So far, I absolutely love this truck!!

Welcome to the forum @Cabin Fever - Sharp looking truck!

So in May 2020 I traded in that fine piece of automotive (van) history (2001 GMC Savana) for the 2017 Silverado (V6 - Double Cab) and the 2017 in on this 2020 Trail Boss (V8 -Crew Cab), this past Tuesday. Went from the “creeper van” to the “Silver Fox” to this “Red Dragon”. Love it and happy to join the club.

Hello all, I just traded in my Camaro convertible and Colorado(loved that truck) in on a custom double cab trail boss, we didn't know which exact model truck we were gonna get, but once we laid eyes on this white trail boss with the huge black grill, we were in love. There is no fluff or being or gadgets in this truck, but thats how we like our trucks, plain and simple, after all......its a truck, its meant for business.....
