What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Yeah it’s a 6.2.

Maybe it was just the hangover haha. I’ll pull the bolts next time I’m piddling and see if maybe I missed something.

Which I find interesting because when I contacted them they said to use 3/8" to 1/2" spacers. If you'd like a pic of spacing I'll happily send one Monday after I get the alignment done. I am running 285/75r18 Duratracs.
That would be great. It took a while for the Bora spacers to arrive so hoping I do not need to go larger. That said, as long as I can stay inside of 1/2”…

This is the best pic I could get you. Sorry it's not better. There's not a lot of space for a tape measure to fit, and trying to take a pic made for some interesting juggling. Remember, this is with 1/2" spacers installed.

Washed, Clay Bar and then applied the new Cerakote Professional Paint Protection. I got it on sale when they first released it. First day I have had to really spend all day washing, clay bar etc. Time will tell if it was worth the time (although was not a tough job). After buffing it out, I could see a nice gloss and it seems very slick.

Did the tire not fit where the spare goes? I was able to get mine in the stock location, but it used every bit of space.
I didn’t even attempt it , wheels and tires were to expensive and nice to possible damage due to having a larger 35/12.50 wide tire on a aftermarket wheel , didn’t want that low hanging fruit out on the trail…. Also, much easier access…

Understood. Different strokes for different folks. No judging here. I was just curious.

This is my spacing with the 1/4” spacer in there. The shop that installed it did not appear too worried about the spacing or the CV angles. Car will need to have the rear brakes serviced shortly, so will drive it a bit locally to let everything settle and then will revisit when we do the brakes.

Looks like you live in the rust belt. Seen a lot of snow this year?

Technically I believe the Hudson Valley is considered to be east of the Rust Belt, but when it comes to winter road conditions we might as well be part of it. We are across the river and just a bit north of West Point. These days it is more freezing rain than snow accumulation, although as has been the case the last few years most of the snow we are getting is in March and April.
