What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

were the mounting scews ungodly long ? i have had mione just sitting in the pocket as filler plate mostly, but that is due to having a 4" long screw to attach it...i didnt want a screw that long going into the dash behind the screen

it is probably an epmty space anyway, but thought it was ungodly long for attaching that mount
The screws that came with it were not that long. Maybe about 1.5”

Don't you get a lot of glare off the hood with those lights? I aimed mine up and to the outside but I still get some glare.
So I took the TB out this weekend and had some fun. I did not adjust the lights much. Went from 2.25" to 2.50" is all. Minimal glare based on angle from center of cab. Designing a new bracket that will allow for three lights. Would like to add super bright red as well for hunting purposes.

Well I added this tailgate assist handle thingy today. Apparently it comes standard on the multi-flex tailgate. I definitely wanted it since the VA says my knees are of a 60 yr old lol.

Shoulda got the Multiflex. Super easy stepping up into the bed. When they announced it on the Silverado mid 2021, it was on my requirements list when I was shopping. Ended up custom ordering my truck with it.

Took it in for the 6.2L engine recall inspection. "Test failed. Engine replacement required"

I was told of the ~16 vehicles inspected thus far, mine was the 2nd to fail. 2-3 weeks for new engine to arrive.

On the bright side a got a free new heated steering wheel as part of another recall.

Amazing it was still driving and it failed. Another site a GM tech said all of their tests passed and the only failed were ones that died and were towed in.

i have read numerous things related to the VIBRATION they are detecting...some claim it effects Cam/Crank timing relations. the Piezo process itself is very interesting, i use a form of it daily doing inspections for weld defects and flaws...

very interesting to me how this is being used to detect this surface defect issue....

So that would mean the entire inspection thing is a conspiracy? Don't listen to that GM tech, I can discredit that firsthand. (or secondhand, since mine's the 2nd of 16 or so that were driven into this small dealer and failed the inspection)

I’ve have a lot of different wheels on this truck. Today I decided to try something a little different. Super happy with how they turned out.

mine has 40K, on my 3rd set of wheels and tires...4th of you count the stockers. i need some good pics of the newest set....tried the hide the final look until i have it dialed in in height from going to a 37

I put Dirt King front and rear bumpers and hitch on mine. Since the factory fog lights were deleted, I put some Baja Designs S2 SAE lights behind the grille. I had put a Borla s-type dual exhaust on it a few weeks ago. It was a little too loud so I added two resonators and tucked the rear part up to where the spare was.
