What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Installed a 1 1/2" level kit from Rough Country. Now, there is zero rub with 295/70R18 Cooper tires. I pulled up next to a Ford Raptor and felt gigantic. These mods along with a Cold Air Inductions intake and GM Cat back exhaust makes this truck a beast. The final piece, and I agree with everyone who says this mod is absolutely necessary, is the Pulsar LT module that I used to disable DFM, change auto start/stop default to "off", adjust speedometer to tire size and have 5 levels of throttle response at hand at any time. Level "5" will spin the tires if you do more than breathe on the pedal. Fender flares and red caliper covers are the only mods left I have planned at this time.
How does the Pulsar make your GM cat back exhaust sound compared to before installing it? Just curious because I have the same exhaust on mine.

Sounds like an awful lot of effort to remove exhaust tips. I appreciate the suggestions. I might not get in a big hurry to do them lol
Taking side steps is a big help. I have to say the gloss black powder coated look on tips is definitely worth it. Local guy here did mine and I love the improved look it gave my TB.

that looks about the same as my view... i'll see if can post a pic.
I see you have the multi flex tailgate. What does the view of your backup camera look like? Trying to get mine corrected by the dealer. Since it changed last month. Never used to have that curve black on bottom.

Yeah no black curve like mine has. When I first got mine, 5/2021 its custom TB 2021 with the multi I didnt see the emblem. I saw my bumper and part of the hitch. After tire was replaced in july now it's completely changed. Where i have blacked out areas. Guessing something changed with computer no idea. Over a month havent heard anything from dealer on it.

Been reading into the LEDs is sealight or LASfit which is best?
Best is debatable. I went with Sealight, LAS is spendy. I got the hi/lo combo set at about $100 on amazon. Just looked, $105 +tax. Nice pack with extras. No adjustments needed on mine (2019 Boss)

The bottom unscrews off, its kind of like a-small cup, sort of.... shouldn’t make a mess with a little caution.... but a drain valve would be great. I may have to install one at a later date when I’m emptying it.
Do you need to take this out before getting your truck serviced so it won’t void warranty ?

If you don't mind me asking, how much did this set you back in terms of costs? Id love to do something like this with my truck- looks great man!

What did your dealer say about the change in the camera angle? Mine changed too. I dont have the black vignetting. One day my standard view just changed and now I see more tailgate and bumper. I don't think it is stuck in fisheye, I think the camera angle slipped down.

Installed the Pulsar LT, bakflip tonneau cover, carpet pad, blacked out the badges and installed a Rough Country exhaust.

Nothing havent heard from dealer in over a month. They replaced the camera and it stayed the same. I recently contacted Chevrolet directly about it to get my dealer to provide me an update. Last I heard was waiting for technical assistance.

installed Gator Tonneau cove and this AVS hood protector
Is that hood protector the one that sticks on? I'm trying to determine if it's better to have the ones that screw on from under the hood or the kinda that require being stuck on. I'm concerned about the top coat getting messed up.

Just got base level custom TB, more as a tow rig for my wheeling jeep. interested in getting budget type cover and bedliner and under seat(rear) storage any suggestions? Also anything i need to be aware of that are known issues? Been a while as my last rig was a 2007 2500 HD.
Thanks in advance
