What exhaust would you recommend?

I am wondering if I put the stock muffler on and cut the resonators off the back of it will give it a nice sound

I have the Chevy upgrade “performance “ exhaust on my 6.2 and it has a bit of rumble at start but is pretty quite all and all don’t know it’s there , looking at a swap for Borla Attak , have it on my SS Camaro and it’s sweet

I thought early on I read where the GM performance was Borla … but I don’t see Borla anywhere on it

Hey Guys,

I am looking to get rid of the stock muffler on my 2021 5.3 Trail Boss. I am also looking to get rid of the resonators at the end of each pipe. I am trying to figure out what muffler to get, so that i get a nice deep sounding rumble, but with minimal drone in the cabin (something that wont get annoying on a road trip).

I was looking at the flowmaster 40 series, or possibly the FX, but have only YouTube to go off of. Looking to see what you all may have done and could recommend.

I am running Borla Attak on my Camaro SS Convertible… and no dron no cabin noise when just cruising … but will definitely turn heads when you let the big dog eat ..can’t go wrong with Borla no matter what system you go with , S Type has a nice rumble

correct... their site only shows it for the 5.3.... check out u tube they have extensive comparo's on our trucks with all three Borla's as well other MFG's

Called Borla “can’t “ just swap out the muffler so they say … I need to buy a complete system if I want to get the Attak … seems like BS but it what it is

I just did a muffler delete on my 2022 6.2 and it’s pretty loud on the highway. Def gonna search the thread to figure out what muffler to get.

Borla CrateMuffler Part # 400844 (ATAK) works and sounds great on my TB 6.2. I had the flapper valve removed and left the resonators on.​

It's necked down to 3" which I believe is the same as the stock muffler. The shop had to weld on some extra pipe after removing the stock muffler and flapper valve. Not sure on the exact length but it's much shorter than stock.
