What exhaust would you recommend?

I am running Borla Attak on my Camaro SS Convertible… and no dron no cabin noise when just cruising … but will definitely turn heads when you let the big dog eat ..can’t go wrong with Borla no matter what system you go with , S Type has a nice rumble
ya S type might be my choice maybe not touring .... I run the truck for 12 to 13 hours at a stretch so I'd like it quiet If my foots not into it...

It's necked down to 3" which I believe is the same as the stock muffler. The shop had to weld on some extra pipe after removing the stock muffler and flapper valve. Not sure on the exact length but it's much shorter than stock.
Yep that’s for the info , looked it up and see it’s 3” … the GM performance and the Borla kit is 3.5” … sucks Borla won’t just sell me a 3.5” muffler

I saw this video yesterday, from Lonestar Hawaiian, showing his replacement of the Borla with a product from AWE. Worth addingto the list based on what he shows.

I have the GM performance exhaust.. Made by Borla .. nice set up but would personally like it louder, looking at a new Borla system … anyone interested in picking up a GM set up for 6.2 ?
What would you be looking to get for it?

I see magma flow has. 3.5” inlet /outlets any on running this muffler

For the Borla exhaust, the Touring has a longer muffler than the S-Type and ATAK. The S-type has two mufflers and the ATAK has a muffler and a Polyphonic Harmonizer. (I believe the two use the same primary muffler). If you have the S-Type and want to make it the ATAK, you can get the Polyphonic Harmonizer 60680 and swap it out with the second muffler of the S-Type. (That is per Borla website).

The factory performance exhaust from GM is the Borla Touring.

Lookup the "Aftermarket Exhaust for 6.2L" thread here to get some opinions on the Borla.

Just installed the Borla S on a 5.3 and I couldn't be happier with it. Cold start is amazing, and if I want to play I can go to low range. I think it's just right and not too annoying at cruising speeds. They don't make an Atak for the 5.3.

I'm interested. Interested in shipping?

Following this thread.
I deliberately did NOT include the Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System when I built my order.
I think I will probably want a nice growly sound, but not obnoxious. So, I'm interested in the choices mentioned here.

I went with the AWE full cat back exhaust. Besides their horrible customer service and making me wait 7 weeks to get it, couldn't be happier. Here is a link to my YouTube video of mine. There are a couple other short videos of it too.

I put on the MBRP, 304 stainless steel. Not bad some noise in cab. I think it will be better with the pulsar.

Hey Guys,

I am looking to get rid of the stock muffler on my 2021 5.3 Trail Boss. I am also looking to get rid of the resonators at the end of each pipe. I am trying to figure out what muffler to get, so that i get a nice deep sounding rumble, but with minimal drone in the cabin (something that wont get annoying on a road trip).

I was looking at the flowmaster 40 series, or possibly the FX, but have only YouTube to go off of. Looking to see what you all may have done and could recommend.
Depends what you are after. I used to own a 2014 Camaro SS with Kooks 1 7/8" long tube headers and Kooks muffler-delete true dual exhaust with X-pipe. Super aggressive sound. I traded that and my 2019 Custom Trail Boss with the 5.3L in for my 2021 LT Trail Boss with the 6.2L. I wanted this one to have more grumble than my Custom Trail Boss, but not quite as obnoxious as the Camaro lol. I went with Magnaflow's cat-back dual-split exit with the quad tail pipes. It still wasn't quite as aggressive as I wanted, so later I went in and replaced the muffler and the flapper valve with a straight pipe. Now it sounds perfect! Still a little noisy for some, but not when compared to that Camaro that I was used to lol.
