I remember checking and changing transmission fluid not being an involved process. Times done changed. *yells at clouds*
Use to hide all the codes in the glove box on a sticker too...unless thats old school and they did away with thatThis is what it looks like, it actually tells you everything from your build in detail.Times better than what you have.
Yep. It was really nice on my '08 with a dipstick. Just had to get the trans temp to at least 180* and check the fluid. Now it's just a little more involved but nothing terrible but I believe the temp requirement might be a little different between the gas motors and diesel. One thing to note is that the service/fill/drain plug is TIGHT. I had to heat the plug with a heat gun to get the factory threadlock soft enough.I remember checking and changing transmission fluid not being an involved process. I'm not sure when they did away with that but that was nice having it handy right there. My previous '08 was that way but when I got my 22.5, it was a QR code.Use to hide all the codes in the glove box on a sticker too...unless thats old school and they did away with that
My wife's 2017 Tahoe still has the RPO code sticker in the glovebox so the did it that recently at least.Yep. It was really nice on my '08 with a dipstick. Since we were on the subject of transmission RPO codes, does the decodrpo app show the axle RPO codes too? There are two different rear axles and two different front axles (regardless of ratio). You need to know that because there are four different fluids depending on if you have the AAM or GM axle. To add to the confusion you can have an AAM rear and GM front or vise versa. Go figure.
