20 inch wheels No level tire size help

Hello all,

I have a refresh Trail Boss with the 20 inch black wheels. I have thoroughly reviewed the threads and found just one person that ran 285/65/20 with no rub and just One person that ran 295/60/20 with no rub. And I found a few thread where Generally 285/60/20 seems to work no problem but I would like a little more height. I have stock 265/60/20 MT now.

Can anyone else confirm that either 285/65/20 or 295/60/20 fit with little to no rub on a trail boss with no lift or level please?

Any help is appreciated so I don’t make a mistake and buy the wrong tires.
Sorry this is a new reply to an old post. Just joined a few minutes ago. I just installed 295/60r20 Falken AT3’s on my stock 2019 Trail Boss. I’m not getting any rubbing, scrubbing or anything else structurally with normal on-road and light off-road use.

Only problem is my transmission’s lost its mind with the shifting. Only solution I can come up with is to have the ecu tuned for the heavier and (slightly) taller tires.

A couple of local shops are sure they can dial it in. Anyone have any other suggestions?

For background purposes, I’m not too into heavy modifications. I just couldn’t take how small the stock tires looked on the truck so took a chance with something a little heavier. I also don’t like the stock wheels, but, if I go aftermarket, I’ll just go the same width, diameter and offset.

I really doubt it's the bigger tires causing your problems. Thousands of TB owners have installed that size tire, and way bigger, and have zero problems.
The ECU can't really be "tuned" on the 2019+ Silverados so don't get ripped off by a dishonest shop. A hand held tuner can adjust certain parameters such as recalibrating the speedometer so maybe that will correct the trans issues you are having?

Rather than start a new thread, I am looking at upgrading my trail boss tires to Toyo at3 275/65/20. From what I have read it looks like they should fit fine but wanted to see if anyone has that setup.

Thanks

That’s only a half bigger all around from factory. No way that will be an issue.

I have 275 65 20 big ko2. No issues at all. Only 34.1x10.6z. Plenty of room for 35s on mine

I’m running 295/60r20’s on a stock trail boss. No rubbing at all at full lock, bumps etc. It’s close but it clears the upper control arms by about a quarter inch or so. Anything 12.50 or wider would probably hit the UCAs.

Upgraded from stock Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT 265/60/20 to BFGoodrich KO2 275/65/20! Everything is stock suspension-wise and great performance so far!

Looks great! My Territory tires are extremely loud now at 52k so looking to replace with K02's or K03's same size as yours. Any noise/vibration/fit issues at all?

Thanks! No issues at all with about 2.5K miles on them so far. No rubbing either. They are a night and day difference when compared to the Territory MT.
