Lifters again......GREAT

Would you do a LS swap? That is my plan. I don’t know much about the 2.7 but it knocks and pings constantly. It only has 5000km on it. I’m wondering if I should do a oil change soon
Are you using premuim gas? That is a Turbo, right?
 
I've been told the 3/4 tons don't have the fuel management system, that may be the way to go......dealer said that 2.7 turbo is what everybody is raving about......my trucks supposed to be fixed by Friday afternoon.
The dealerships are really pushing the 2.7-litres lately, but I wonder what the real reason is. Literally nobody is raving about those engines in my neck of the woods. 🤣

The reason is because GM is pushing the 2.7L on the dealers. This is happening across the industry. I also own a JL Wrangler so I frequent that forum too and we've been discussing this there also - FCA is not allowing dealers to stock the V6. Only way to get one is factory order - all stock vehicles are 2.0L or PHEV. That's been the case for a little over a year and NOW they're starting, state-by-state, to only allow the stocking of the PHEV. All ICE Wranglers are going to be factory order only.

Automakers know that people buy what's on the lot, so they just make sure that what's on the lot is what they want selling. That way they can control what the populace buys without blatantly controlling what the populace buys - the illusion of choice.
