Looking for the BEST exhaust

I went with Borla S type. Love it. Neighbourhood doesn’t 🤭
Mines a single cab and standard had single exit. Changed it to double exit. Wish I’d got black tips instead of chrome but otherwise it’s exactly what I was after. I was advised against the Atak because some of the emirates out here in UAE have strict rules……but the S type growls 🥳

Some here might disagree but I am kinda cheap so I installed a Flow Master Series 40 kit. It was only around $250.00 and my Boss sounds mean. I don't know how much a deferance it made but I also wrapped my resonators in heat tape before I installed the kit.

Went with the AWE cat back. Got a great deal on it (open box). Sounds good. Little too loud on cold start, but calms right down. Only bad sound is when DFM kicks in. I leave it at 9 around town so DFM doesn’t kick in.

I really like the awe sound. I wish they sold the muffler itself. I would have definitely purchased it.

Actually thinking of swapping out rear bumper with solid off road one and have side exit exhaust just in front of rear wheels. Just less weight and potential issues flowing out the back. Just a thought right now.

I just bought a 2024 Chevrolet LT Trail Boss 5.3 a few weeks ago and I’m looking to change my exhaust ASAP. What’s the BEST exhaust to put on it? Borla Attack? AWE? Corsa?
I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO BUY A BRAND NEW IN BOX NEVER OPENED BORLA S TYPE FROM EBAY TO FIT MY 2024 TB 5.3 USING THE ORIGINAL BUMPER EXHAUST OUTLET FOR 650.00 AND IT'S LOUD ON COLD STARTS BUT THEM IT SOUNDS GREAT.TAKE YOUR TIME AND LOOK HARD PROBABLY FIND WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR AT A GREAT PRICE. HOPE THIS HELPS

I went with a custom design that I had a local shop set up.

“Pypes” high flow cats into 3 inch stainless true dual with a 3 inch x pipe then into a set of Spintech super pro street 9000 mufflers then out the back with Wedson 3” in 4 inch out quad tips.
Total cost was about 1200 for labor and all parts . I didn’t cheap out because I keep my trucks until I can’t. That being said I know that’s a big expense, but it sounds killer. Exactly how a v8 should sound IMO.

Regarding the Wesdon quad tips; how are they secured to the exhaust pipe? Weld? Clamps? Wondering if they come with some sort of clamping system or you need to bring to a shop for welding.

I had the shop weld them when they did the full exhaust

Anyway the boreal touring
has real bad drone at 1500-1600 RPM and 2100-2200 RPM enough to hurt your ears
I contacted Borla and they asked for a recording and said I must have received a defective muffler
I sent he recording a week ago and no response from Borla , so I guess their million mile and no drone warranty doesn't mean anything
after spending $1,300 I would expect a lot better from Borla
Never again

About how far do they stick out from the bumper once installed?
I have then just barely peaking out maybe 1/2 inch just to give it the look I wanted but it’s completely up to you. Any exhaust shop or fabricator can weld it up flush, a few inches out or whatever is to your liking.

Thank you for the info , much appreciated. The 1/2” peaking out sounds perfect. Definitely wouldn’t want them sticking way out. It’s a truck, not a muscle car.
