Possible lifter failure

From what I been reading (understanding) on the Forum it doesn't matter if you have the 5.3 or 6.2 or without DFM or with DFM lifter are subject to failure. I heard that there was bad batch of lifters were out there. I may be wrong maybe some with more experience with lifter issues can explain. I have the 6.2 with with just over 7000 miles and with DFM no issues yet. My friend has the same engine in his TB built with same time period as mine with 20,000 mile no issues yet.

I don't think this really matters, but it would be interesting to know if one plant was more prone to lifter failures than the other.
And now with the Canadian plant in Oshawa making trucks again, I suppose they are now in the mix. I think the Canadian trucks still have US engines from Michigan though.

Are all the engines made in one place or does Fort Wayne and Silao build engines too?

Looking at various sources I can't pin down an exact answer. I suppose if the engines were all built at one factory, assembly plant would be moot.

**UPDATE**
My truck is still in the shop, three weeks come Monday. They still haven't tore it apart to really look at the damage but they said I have lifter failure on both sides. Which is good I guess cause all lifters will get replaced. I was told there is a national part shortage of VLOM (Valve Lifter Oil Manifold). LOL prolly cause GM is using all of them up to replace all the freakin bad lifter failures.
