Pulsar LT

Finally got a chance to test it.. works as you stated. Thanks for the information. (y)
How do you "test"? Aftermarket exhaust where you can hear it working or not? Curious to know for sure if a feature of L10 is to actually disable DFM.

That is correct. I have the Borla S-Type cat back exhaust and I can hear the difference. Probably wouldn't notice with the quiet stock exhaust.

You bring up a good point, not everyone will be able to hear it. When I get time, will connect a OBD-II scanner and look at live data to see if I can determine when its on vs off. I will update this thread once completed. If successful, I will list the scanner and what to look for.

Updated previous entry about confirmation. I did another test and although the AutoStop is disabled with L10, I don't think the DFM is disabled. It is definitely disabled in L9.

Connected my OBD-II scanner but I couldn't find a setting that would show me if the DFM is disabled or not.

Thanks for followup! I was curious because that is the first time I've heard someone say DFM was disabled in L10.

The Pulsar does not disable OnStar. It does disable the OnStar ECM trouble code scan in your monthly report or when you call them to do a scan due to a check engine light. The Pulsar will also block any other OBDII scanner. Remote commands like start, lock, etc. are fine with the Pulsar installed.

There is a software update to the Pulsar to fix the speed limiter not holding its set speed. Trouble is you have to download the update to your laptop and get an OBDII to USB cable to update. ECM will show a check engine light after the update when you start the truck, but its of no consequence. Just clear it with the Pulsar.

And couple level 30 Pulsar throttle response with 6.2L in sport mode, I have a lot of fun with the aggressive yuppie Honda and Toyota drivers around the DC Beltway and RT 66

I just updated my Pulsar software to fix the speed limiter problem. So far so good.. Check engine light came on after the update. - LOL I cleared it with the Pulsar and it hasn't returned. While the Pulsar will leave no traces if you remove it before going to the dealer, note that it will prevent OnStar from running diagnostics on your vehicle. On demand diagnostics as well as the diagnostic scan in your monthly OnStar vehicle report will fail.
