Reverse lights issues & improvements?

Do you have Tow Assist or the Advanced Trailering System on your truck? It says it's not compatible with those systems. I'm assuming you used the one that integrates into the 7 pin plug? I was planning on possibly getting one of these, but I have the advanced trailering system so I was gonna get the one that hard wires in.

Lasfits for reverse lights and plate lights are on my short list too. It’s my understanding that these are still incandescent even with LED brake/rear signals. Like you, last night in the rain I couldn’t see a thing.
I installed Lasfit reverse lights and plate lights. Huge difference.

I purchased the diode dynamics trail hitch pod light. It is an easy install (plug and play) and fixes the design flaw. It performs as a brake light and reverse light. I also replaced my reverse light with some lasfit leds. You can’t beat the lumen output.

OK, so here is where I am currently after having purchased a set of Recon taillights, the Vled license plate light, Diode Dynamic Hitch Light, and most recently the Putco lightbar. In hindsight, I should have kept stock and thrown in a set of lasfit. I would have saved a lot of money and frustration (all self inflicted lol!)

Vled: Yep, I now see it does indeed says not to use with advanced trailering which I have! Doah! I would love to have a workaround to still use this!

Recons: Look great and reverse light better than stock but still fall short.

Diode dynamics hitch light: This actually helped but now that I have the Putco light bar, I can’t use it. I would love to have a workaround to still use this!

Putco light bar: absolutely worthless for reverse. Maybe the dealer mounted it too high though and it’s being blocked?

Here are a couple pics of what I see now in camera in Reverse with the Putco light bar and recons.

that is the resolution of the ADVANCED SYSTEM ??? that is horrible. MY 23 is crystal clear ( non advanced, non 360). my resolution is like watching a high def screen compared to that

No, that is the nighttime resolution of me in reverse with the Putco light bar and recons. I still can’t see shit at night! Daylight is crystal clear! I really thought the Putco lightbar was the be all end all for reverse lighting??

the lasfit bulbs make it like day time in the camera at night

I’m guessing if you could move the light at abit, you’d be good. They’re pretty far/deep in there, so the positioning is finicky… So… I recently saw a “hack” for lightbars that solves both problems. Use magnets, that way you can move the bar a bit without having to start all over, AND you’ll get a bit more “height” between the mounting surface and where you want the light to shine out of. I’m considering a few options:
-use the sticky side of the lightbar to attach the magnets
-use some gorilla glue to attach the magnets
-grinding a strip into the magnets so I can attach a clear zip tie, I’m leaning this way
