Running board recommendations

Looking at nice clean looking step bars, rugged look that don't hang down to much. Something that doesn't break the bank. Liking looks from the GoRhino options. post pictures if you got them

I ordered these from rough country and think the quality and fit was perfect. I wanted more of the raptor style look and the price was right

I have the Go Rhino RB 20’s on my truck. I loved the fact I could tuck them as tight in as I want. I wanted to find a set that really tucked high to give the optics to keep the higher naked look.

I’ve seen the Rough Country RPT2 on several trucks and they would be my second choice.

After a ton of research I definitely wanted boards that would have decent ground clearance, but also offer some protection against door dings and such. I liked the Onine Clutch boards, but found a different version that didnt have many reviews, but looked pretty nice IMO. I reached out to Onine and asked if their 7" tubular bar offered the same ground clearance as their Clutch version, and they said YES same brackets. I installed them last night and was happy with the results. They sit tight to the rocker, and have plenty of adjustment closer to rocker or farther away. I kept mine out a little only to offer a larger platform to fit my foot, instead of just that ball of my foot. Also more door ding protection.
I like them and they are pretty much exactly what I was looking for.
Here are some pics.
and here is a link
199 for a set ???

Just installed new N-Fab EPYX running boards today. I hated the factory ones it came with. Love them!!!View attachment 6174

Hey a quick question. Im installing ones like this and found my stock bolt hokes a bit rusted and corroded. Did you chase your bolt holes with a tap set? Did anyone have to? I am just waiting on an m8x1.25 tap set from amazon as i almost stripped one of the bolts, even after attempting to clean out and pick the bolt hole with wd40 and a thread pick. I couldnt get the bolt to organically start threading. It ended up catching a groove but started to strip the bolt.

Anyone has advice and pics I be so happy to see them

Been rocking these TAC steps since February '22. They still look as good as the day I installed them. Also, $275 on Amazon.

I went with the westin hdx textured drop steps very easy install.

Im putting these same style on myself but im finding that the stock bolt holes under the truck for installation of the brackets are all corroded and wont thread. I tried a pick and wd40 to clean them out but almost stripped a bolt. All the holes look similar too. Anyone else have to chase the threads with a tap and die set? I got my tap set coming tomorrow off of amazon.

Ya haha. Pretty decent deal on a set of tap and dies. I can buy a whole set on there for what it costs for a small kit in town. Only gonna use it once or twice in my life anyways.

The thread issue is on my TB not the running boards. It looks like my bolt holes never had those plastic plugs for some reason. Maybe the dealership had s set mounted on mine at the lot before I bought it? I dunno. Im missing a couple mudflap body screws and clips too in random spots. Never knew why

All done son.

New iArmor side steps installed after maximum effort hand tapping every single darn bolt hole lol.

She done now. Doesnt even look lifted now though. Might have to look into the 4" big lift for next upgrade.

Yessir got a stack of 35s sitting in my garage waiting to go on. Thats next upgrade when i do my oil change.

Followup on my GoRhino D6 boards - rusted after 2 winters in Ohio. Actual pinholes through the tubes. Talked to Realtruck (new owner of GoRhino) Sent me two new boards to bolt on existing brackets - took a long time to get, but they came through! There were really no questions asked when filing the warranty claim, they even found my original order since I didn't have a paper copy - it was online/electronic through GoRhino website. Highly recommend! Using Fluid Film on insides of them this time around before winter.
