I purchased a 2024 Silverado RST a few months ago, currently has 9,800 miles on it. I was running it through the carwash yesterday and the sunroof automatically opened on me. I had to hold down the "close" button the entire way through the tunnel because it kept trying to reopen. Just called the Chevrolet dealership where I purchased it from, Service Advisor said they have never heard of this issue?
I picked up a 2025 that was traded in with 12,000klms and I'm starting to see why. Sunroof opens every time the lights turn on which when going through a car wash makes you a jumpy. My AC will suddenly turn on and rev up the fan speed even when not turned on. A couple times I started the truck and only one speaker would be working, the next day back to normal. The truck itself seems great otherwise, with awesome fuel economy for a 6cyl. Gets better than my car!
GM is aware their engines blow up, thier sunroofs open when you turn on the lights, their transmissions fail and the rear differential cover gets pulled off when you drive over a rock.
