What did you do to your HD Trailboss today? 🛠️

I installed the Pedal Commander yesterday. After having the Pulsar LT on my 1500 trailboss and having the throttle response turned up, I was missing that on the 2500. The Pedal Commander helped make the throttle response much better and less throttle lag. Drives so much better now.

let us know how it does, i have heard numerous claims of them failing and causing roadside issues...one of the reasons i went with the banks unit was the fail safe of reverting to stock in the event something happens...along with the default of STOCK when reversing.

curious as to how much you notice while reversing ?

How does it affect MPG?

I noticed I can turn it off and run it at stock settings. I have the bluetooth model so I can change settings easier and I can hide the controller under the dash.

I noticed the other brands after I got this one but we will see how it works.

I haven't notice too much in reverse yet but I don't have it turn up too much yet.

i run my banks model on a CITY Lvl4 most days. it simulates the feel i am used to by having a cable...i touch, it reacts
here is a few screen shots, showing the settings and how the stock input effects the throttle
i always thought it just made it throw throttle input a certain % sooner (ie...just push pedal more without it)...that is not the case. this removes the DELAY response time of the throttles action

Hands down, one of the best mods i have done to any vehicle.

Did my first modification to my brand new 25 Silverado 2500HD Trailboss that I bought on Wednesday!!! It is the 6.6 gas in Sterling Gray Metallic.

Swapped out the GM tube steps for the GM high clearance steps. Added a tonneau cover and a stubby radio antenna.

I will try to get a few pictures tomorrow.
Can you post pics of the new running boards and maybe the part number? Thx

Was this bolt on muffler? Are you happy with the sound
It was bolt on, but I bought a center inlet and outlet, but should have bought one end center and one end offset for easier fitment. Shop had to use pieces of elbow to line everything up correctly to be level. Those were welded and then clamped on each end to existing pipe from manifolds and tailpipe. Sound is very good!! Nice deep rumble.....not obnoxious but enough to hear you have a V8....wifey approved!!

Started the GM upfitter switch install. Not in a big hurry (don’t have anything to connect to them) so don’t know when I’ll do part 2 but I have all the under dash connections done (minus 1). Looking at the underhood items and location of grommet on the firewall seems like getting that pushed through there is gonna be a pain in the rear.

My truck was optioned with the upfitter switches. The switches were pre-installed under the center stack in the dash from factory. Everything else; fuse/relay box, wiring harnesses, and battery terminals/connections came in a couple bags under the rear seat to be installed by owner. Thanks GM. That’s what a $150 option I believe gets you.

Have to remove 2 lower dash pieces and the two “woodgrain” trim pieces on both sides of console. This allows you to make connections to the back of the switches/buttons, the trucks main wire harness and attach the fuse/relay box behind the lower dash. One more connection will need to be made once the battery power wire is ran through the firewall. Also, mine did not come with 2 screws to attach the fuse/relay box to the lower dash. They are part # 11589015. This is the upfitter bulletin I’m using, install procedure 2 for my trim level.

Apologies for the lack of pictures

This is also a very good write up and very similar except mine has center console instead of bench seat.

This is going to get worse before it gets better. Once you have gone through all that trouble you will have no choice about buying a bunch of expensive accessories to make it worth it! :ROFLMAO: 💸

Already reading install instructions and reviews on pillar lights 😂

Installed Husky rear wheelwell liners today. Fit was very snug and fit great. I did trim them a little because I didn't like how long they were in the middle by the bed. I am very happy.

I was going to do the GM liners but after getting them I didn't care for the carpet and how the liner installs. In Wisconsin winters I like to clear out the packed in snow before going in the garage and the Huskys will be easier because of the formed plastic.
