What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

I installed the 2” SST Ready Lift on my 2022 TB. Put 285/75/r18 Falken Wildpeak AT3w today. Have roughly 1/8”-3/16” space between the UCA and tire. I think I can get away with a 1/4” spacer and should have those installed this coming Friday. You will probably need the spacers, it’s a tight fit even for a 285. I do have a slight rub in the front interior wheel well at full chalk. Hoping the 1/4” spacer will pull it out too.
1/4" was the minimum spacer ReadyLift told me to use for tires that size when I contacted them.

Not a big deal, but one of the first things I wanted to take care of on my truck, was replace the fishing pole (antenna) that came with my TB. Kept smacking it every time I entered my garage, which freaked me out if I wasn't paying attention to it, whether I was coming or going. I replaced it with a 13" flexible one from Votex. Plus, no taking it off when I go through a carwash. Here is the link if anyone is interested: https://www.amazon.com/Votex-Flexib...Accessories/dp/B08HSGW725/?tag=trailboss00-20
Much better looking and I haven't noticed any change in the reception.

Today, I saw on YouTube a free method of getting rid of the helicopter sound from the exhaust and giving it a little bit of a aggressive growl. Using a couple of pipe clamps on the flapper valve near the muffler, keeping it open all the time. Then used some exhaust tape to cover the resonators. Actually sounds pretty good for a free mod.

there are posts on here that users have done this ! I did a muffler delete and locked open the flapper, nice and beefy sounding. I have a 19 custom w/ 5.3

Installed McGaughy's mud flap delete kit today. I was initially worried about no longer protecting the body from rocks, etc until I noticed mud on top of my steps. I believe this to be a result of the new wider tires. At that point I no longer cared.

Oh, you wanted pics? You expect too much from me, lol.

Granite rash rocker repair...
I'm not a body guy but I was able to work through the body plugs on the bottom of the rocker panel with pry bars and screw drivers to make this damage go from "ouch" to "meh, not so bad" . The paint was still intact so I prepped it with a little 800 scuff pad and sealed it with clear coat. 30 minutes of time and zero dollars!(the clear coat was leftover from another project...)
