What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Had the Wesdon 2.5x4” tips welded on. Thanks to those before me for the insight! It really makes the back look aggressive and keeps with the blacked out theme.

They aren't technically ON the truck yet, but I took the time today to coat them with the same graphene that I used on the rest of the truck. I'll give it some time to cure overnight.

Dumb question while I wait. since this is my first set of aftermarket wheels, maybe I had higher expectations for ease of fitment. I see that there is a universal bolt pattern on the back, but I struggled to test fit one on the studs for 20 minutes before I gave up. its possible that I was just giving a half hearted effort. its 95* outside, and the tires are easily over 100lbs a piece, but what is the trick to get these to slide over the studs? The bolt holes in the wheel are about 1/8" smaller than OEM and it is missing by that much it seems....

Cooler weather and a jack 😉

No pics but you’ve already seen the mud flap delete a thousand times. I admit to being shocked by the attitude adjustment it made.

After looking at the exhaust flapper a week or so back, today I compressed the spring, turned the buttery clockwise till the spring’s hook came out in the open position detent.

The butterfly rest in what appears to be a stable open position, under no spring tension. When I started the cold engine the fast idle sound was much deeper. You actually know you have a V8! I never expected such a difference.

I’m in my mid 60’s and had enough loud exhaust to last me the rest of my life. I don’t really understand what the resonators do to the sound. Since they’re so easily accessed I may wrap them up with something easy to apply.

I’m still trying to recover from some major back surgery and my wife has just started to loosen up a bit on her hold on my reins. I’m paying for it right now.

I’ve had my TB for three months, and are glad to finally get started making it my own.

Thanks for taking time to read.

Finally had a chance for a proper wash after the new tires were installed.

DIXIE, those resonators just influence the sound waves. when the truck drops to V4, it can cause a weird hormonic in the cab. this DRONE can be a low background annoyance, or a full blown sort of low tone rattle

Pulled over for lighting up tires at 35+ mph. Warning only this time. Oh well.

Other than loosing a few minutes on the side of the road, a warning is a great outcome. Had one myself recently for sitting in the right lane to long for the troopers liking. I took my warning and thanked the good officer for their service. :giggle:

Decided to change wheels and tires today. The Fuels looked great but I didn’t care for the big offset they had. I’m really liking the new setup. 🤘

Super cool.
I see you changed your hood badge to LT4. I'm sure not a lot of people get it but you must get comments from those that do. Where are the pictures of that beast you keep saying you will post? Did I miss them?
