I installed AirDesign fender flares today.
Purchased through the Chevy dealer since I had a $100 voucher. Very well made. Fit perfect. I didn’t want big flares so these are perfect for me. I wouldn’t really call them flares since they don’t flare out. A better name would be wheel well moulding.
I like the look as long as they don't trap any moisture...

Made an appointment for first oil change. No friendly Chevy dealer close, so I'm burdened with having to take it to McCaddon Cadillac.

NOT. This is one of the best GM dealerships in the world, and they treat customers like royalty. They will also meet any price on tires and such.

Otherwise cleaned and detailed, inside and out. Nearly 5,000 miles since purchase in late February. Which is a little more than I should have before first oil change, for brand new ... but I drive carefully and am getting consistent 19.9 mpg tank after tank.

Due to missing parts, I have an extra set of light mounts. Ill give them away if someone wants them and will cover shipping from 92102.

Consistent 19.9mpg? That's impressive. I've not seen/heard of anybody doing that well. I'm guessing that's because a lot of people drive with their foot firmly planted on the go pedal. Is yours a 5.3L? I've not started measuring MPG's yet as I'm still working on break-in period.

I was thinking of having my local Line-X guy black out my chrome tips on the exhaust..I asked him about it and believe it or not he had no experience with that sort of mod..Surely I am not the only one who had this idea...? Anyone black out their exhaust tips.?? If so how..?
I sprayed mine with PlastiDip. I figured the worst that could happen was I’d have to peel it off if it didn’t hold up. 6 months later they still look new. So far, so good.

Gas mileage I'm getting may be in part due to the elevation. Fuel use is metered relative to the incoming air, and there is less of that at ~5,000 feet and higher. My airplane makes 118 HP at Sea Level, but only 61 HP at 10,000 ft, Leaned way back when up that high. Perhaps same thing is happening in the truck, even at 75 mph. Accelerate slowly, 5.3L is in 4-cyl a lot, and drawing minimal air in Colorado.

edit: Also, I have another vehicle that I can enjoy "spirited driving" in. Just installed a Soler Throttle Controller in that, which fixes the unresponsive electric gas pedal problem. Now when I touch the pedal the car always yanks forward ... as it should.
