What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

I was thinking of having my local Line-X guy black out my chrome tips on the exhaust..I asked him about it and believe it or not he had no experience with that sort of mod..Surely I am not the only one who had this idea...? Anyone black out their exhaust tips.?? If so how..?
I bought new black exhaust tips! They look great, just haven’t installed them yet

I did mine on my '21 shortly after I got it. Took the tips off, hit them with 0000 steel wool and painted them with high temp flat black. Still look like the day I did it over 4 years ago.

New fender flares installed today. GM part# 19419893. Had some GM points to burn. I like the way they turned out!

Installed the DSSV Multi Matic suspension from a ZR2 to replace my stock Ranchos. I haven't been off road but it seems to ride better on the street (y)
Was it a straight swap? Thought about doing this for my 2500

Not sure it’s that easy on the 2500s. The AT4X/ZR2 trucks that have the DSSV have a lift but the 2500 trailboss’ don’t. Not sure if an aftermarket lift/level would suffice but to achieve the factory lift like the AT4X/zr2 requires different upper and lower control arms and a different knuckle.

If you don’t want the added 1.5in lift of the 2500 ZR2, you should be able to bolt on the ZR2 DSSV shocks to the 2500 TB since the shocks won’t lift it any.

If they will fit without the loft I may would go with it. Enjoyed them on the ZR2 1500 when I had it.

Maybe there’s enough there, just thinking without the added 1.5”, they’d already be in a compressed state on the non ZR2 2500 and risk bottoming out. I could just be thinking wrong

May have a point. I didn’t think about that. Another option was the adjustable Ranchos. I have heard they aren’t bad like the stock ones.

Guess I’ll be going a different route. Thanks for the info.
Unless you’re doing more than moderate off roading I doubt your shocks will ever see more than 50% of their travel /stroke limits.

2500 and 3500's should have torsion bars and can be lifted or lowered via a bolt where they mount to the chassis at the rear.
