What's new

What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Well, confirm since that post...we have done route 66 from STL to Catoosa, OK (Big Blue Whale)....

Surprisingly, at the posted speed limit and few stops....she is far less thirsty. Highly impressed with the mileage....

Just topped off fornthe start of the third tank....
Going break south below Joplin, MO tomorrow AM and run NW Arkansas back up to STL.
What kind of mileage you getting? Unfortunately, all the tuning I have done on my rig has not improved mine. I get around 14.5mpg highway.

The Best way to see the USA! Safe travels to ya'all.

I cannot speak for actuals...but i have done so far...Ofallon, MO to Catoosa Oklahoma, back to Joplin, then down to Bentonville AR, Eureka Springs and now in Harrison AR....showing about 260 miles remaining on tank #4. On a 37" tire....cruising the limit has been the ticket.

My normal runs are 800 ish 1 way, and 2.5 tanks running 75 plus.

Today, I popped in some bed stake caps.

Replaced the reverse bulbs with LEDs, added a short antenna a few days ago.

Next will be the oil can, different floor mats since the OE mats are all curled up, and a bed extender.

Since it was bought used, it looks like it already has some things done to it.
Was looking at wheel well liners, but after looking at the TB, it already has some. Has a tri-fold tonneau cover.

Changed out the factory tires for 295/60/20 Bridgestone all-terrain R03’s. Added a 1.75 readylift leveling kit and swapped out the chrome lugs for black. Also added red rough country caliper covers. The new tires and stance are so sexy. Best $3000 I’ve spent in a long time.
I am debating between the ready lift 1.75 or the 2.0 level kit. I have a set of wheels 20x10 -19 paired up with some 35x12.5 20 toyo at3s and want to change to black lug nuts as well

Be ready to trim...i squeezed a 34x11.50 on a 10" -18 years back....it was tight !

I added new wheels, TIS off-road 20x10 -19mm. I loved the stock wheel look but I was invested in the 35x12.50 tires I had, and without spacers I couldn’t run them. I absolutely hated the spacers and the thought of them so finally I just upgraded the wheels
This is exactly where I am at too. I love the stock wheel look but do not want to run spacers. I picked out a 2" level kit, a 20x10 -19 wheel and a 35x12.5 20 tire. Did you have to do any other modifications to the wheel well? Did you adjust the headlights?

Leveled at 1.75 or 2 ?
1,75 at the time,,,

shortened the factory antenna by 2 inches so as not to hit the garage door, worked like a charm

Thats awesome! I dont mind trimming honestly. It seems like its either trim or go smaller tires so f-it. That is a super nice looking truck!! The wheels are similar to the ones im going to buy

the trimming required for most 35's on stock to -18 offset 10" wide is about the same...and i wouldnt call it trimming.

remove the bolt on brackets behind the liners and push them as far back as possible, then use tree clips and holes to secure. Most that CUT the liner do a butcher job and look like @$$ when done....push them first, i only trimmed mine to allow an opening for the shock resi to pass through

This is good info! Thank you. I will follow the instructions lol

After 50+ tunes using HP Tuners software, I am finally dialed in the way I like it. Satisfied with all the improvements I made to the engine and transmission. Incorporated a ton of scans and logs to ensure reliability and safety and with the abundant amount of tunes, I only had two LIMP MODE Reduced Acceleration events...not bad for the 50+ tunes flashed! The limp mode events did not lead to a catastrophic problem (at the moment it was an issue, but I re-flashed immediately and all was fine afterwards) because I always have my laptop in my rig in order to reflash my ECM and/or TCM to a previously working tune. Now, my next upgrade will involve mechanical installation (i.e., camshaft, lifters, supercharger, etc.) once I can afford it! Haha!
