What's new

What did you trade in for the Trail Boss?

2016 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk with a 2" lift, Eibach springs, a roof rack , and some stereo upgrades. Great little car, but... well... little. I'm 6'2" tall and 350 pounds, and my wife had to battle me for elbow and shoulder room every time we got in that little Jeep.

We went and drove a Silverado Custom with the 2.7, and I really liked it. Was ready to make a deal, then I saw a Trail Boss. Liked the motor and trim level, so I found a Custom Trail Boss with the 2.7. No heated seats, heated steering wheel or any of those other luxuries, but that's the way I like it; I feel like a truck should be simple and purposeful, so that's what I got.

I'm making a six-hour round trip to pick it up on Saturday. It'll be my first full-size pickup and my first Chevy truck. Looking forward to seeing how the turbo motor does in the mountains.

I didn’t trade in, I had a 2017 Chevy Colorado that was wrecked when an old man ran a red light and t-boned the front passenger side back in January. Luckily I was the only one in the truck and came out unscathed.

Didn't trade it in, but my beloved 2018 Silverado LTZ was rear-ended by a distracted driver. I really miss that truck. I love my TB , but the 18 was a different setup.

I traded in a 2015 Silverado 1500. I was tired of the truck bottoming out when driving in shallow ruts whenever I was off the pavement lol. Then when I heard Chevy made a 1500 Silverado that has a 2" factory lift and 33" stock tires and are calling it the "Trail Boss," I was sold! Lol

I definitely liked the look of the 2016-2018 models, and that was a good looking truck! It sucks to lose a vehicle that way. But it's crazy to think that these Trail Boss's are about 300-400 pounds lighter while still looking like a bigger truck.

I've had my Trail Boss for 16 months now but I traded a 2015 Camaro SS 1LE in on it. I miss that car a lot. One of the best, most reliable cars I've ever owned. 105k miles and 100% trouble free.

Traded in my 2018 Ford Focus ST. It was definitely a quick, fun little hatchback.

My 2017 Jeep Wrangler.

The Jeep was tons of fun, but ready for the TB.

in 2019 my 08 trail blazer's engine finally seized up just under 200k miles, in a bind had to buy a used 2018 nissan rogue, great affordable suv but not my dream truck. this past month i finally found a 2021 LT trail boss with a decent price tag, traded in my rouge with 88k miles for the same price i originally purchased, couldnt pass it up
