What did you trade in for the Trail Boss?

Just wondering what everyone had before the Trail Boss?
2018 SLT GMC Sierra 1500 to a 2022 LT Trail Boss... Both a shade of blue, but I have to say that the Northsky Blue on the TB is a pretty neat shade.

2008 LTZ Suburban Z71 package with 5.3 (I replaced that twice), leveling kit, black leather interior.... 316K miles.

Had a 2019 Kona before I bought my new 24 Colorado trail boss and let me tell you it’s really fun to have a pickup and I can finally haul all of my ice fishing gear.

I did the opposite. Traded the '23 TB Custom Z71 for '24 Silverado LT Z71. I got tired of the short box and little creature features. Plus, almost $9k in incentives, rebates and discounts, I couldn't pass it up. More truck for less than what I paid for the TB.
The TB was good to me for a year and 11k miles.

We traded in a 2018 Silverado LTZ/Z71 with 85k miles that needed a new transmission towards a 2025 LT TB.

Okay, gotta ask why on this one. The TRX is awesome
Well, we're talking trade-in, so the cost new of TWICE what my truck cost brand new isn't the issue. (TRX is not twice as much truck)

But the TRX is SIXTEEN HUNDRED pounds heavier than my Trail Boss (30% ! heavier). For off road use, not so awesome.

In May of this year, I traded in a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse Redline in Black Mosaic Metallic with 20k miles for a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Crew Cab Z71 Trail Boss in Dark Ask Metallic. After the new truck purchase, I also privately sold my 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD Extended Cab in Silver.
The Traverse was the first vehicle I have ever traded in. Wasn't planning on trading it in, was going to sell privately, but the dealer really wanted it and I couldn't pass up the deal!

Sad that a transmission only lasted 85K:(

Yep.

And before that, her prior LTZ 5.3l needed new pistons and rings at 70k miles ($5k repair).

I finally learned my lesson. The first thing I did after I bought her this '25 TB was buy an 8yr/100k GM Platinum plan.
