What I don’t like about my Trail Boss

The fuel tank capacity sucks the most. Anyone know if the 28 gallon tank from the single cab models would be a bolt on?

The interior is nice in my 2020 LT TB, came with leather and center console just would like the interior to have something to set it apart from a regular Silverado… trailboss emblem or something

Maybe you haven’t read my post its not like a dealer can fix the problem all they can do is keep throwing bandaids on it. They eat lifters like their skittles. That can’t even repair for weeks if not months because their badly designed lifter don’t work for any length of time and they can’t stock them fast enough. And I complain because GM is doing nothing about it And I wish someone had warned me before purchasing. So if anyone goes on this site looking for information they should look up chevy engine lifter issues. It’s not like I’m making it up just type it in on your browser and you’ll find hundreds if not thousands of post about this problem. In fact it’s been going on for a few years ever since one of their engineers hired straight out of Kentucky frid chicken decided he could save more fuel by putting 16 bad lifters in their engine instead of the eight in the previous AFM engines. So I’m sorry if I hurt your feeling about your truck. It hurt my feelings that Chevy was an icon when I was young so I bought this truck thinking it’s reliable because it’s a Chevy. And now I find that Chevy has become a huge joke. According to consumer reports , jd powers , motor Biscuits and many other reputable sources including thousands of online post from people who got swindled just like me chevy is the most unreliable truck made now. It hurts my feeling that the dealer and GM who knew about this problem for years will now not stick by their product once you purchase it. So save your self rightousness for someone else because your words don’t mean anything to me.
After 45k on my 2021 I’ve had zero issues. Not a single trip to the dealership except for service. I had a 16 and never had it in for anything but service either. Maybe you just got a lemon.

If they are going to bother to put a file cabinet in your cab, why didn't they include the obligatory rolodex?

I have a 21 T/B Loaded and a loaded 22 2500 to compare between. I switch back and forth with my daughter. I really like the 2500 but the trail boss is the hot rod of the two. Love hearing it start!

I agree the fuel tank is small, and the absence of any dipsticks sucks.. BMW’s have no oil dipsticks… crazy man I want to look at my oil!

I’m basically in agreement with everyone here on all items . Also with the lack of any need to have my last 6 chevys back to the dealer and that means the most…

It would be nice if Chevrolet offered a package that had both front seats power adjustable with the driver's seat having memory settings for seat, mirrors, and power adjustable steering wheel.
I was waiting for someone to mention that. Imagine my surprise when I’m trading in my 2013 F150 lariat that really has more features like this than the LT Trail Boss. I would think dual powered seats, memory settings, cooled as well as heated seats, power tilt steering, power adjustable foot pedal, etc. would all be standard by now - I mean this was on a lariat nearly 10 years ago. The whole infotainment system is really awesome - I guess Chevy had to sacrifice some things to hit the price point…

It is availability of chips behind why some electronic items are being deleted from trucks. They don't have enough chips so if they eliminate the need for X number of chips per truck it allows them to build and sell more trucks total. They are deleting chips for the least popular features or those that require a higher number of chips. The price point is of no concern to GM at this point cause they sale at msrp or over with no problem with in days on all the upper models and MSRP does not seem to be doing anything but going up.
