Anyone else? (ticking and shaking)

Guys (and gals), you have basically 3 separate warranties on you TB. The first is 3yr 36,000 mile. Think of this as a bumper to bumper warranty. Then there is the 5yr 50,000 mile warranty. This is power train and absolutely includes lifters and transmission. Then you have 10yr 100,000 mile rust through warranty. Rust through means a hole "through" the metal, not just surface rust. There seems to be a lot of guys (and gals) who think after 3yr 36,000 mile their engines/lifters aren't covered. This simply isn't true.

I bought the 3yr/100k mile extended power train warranty.....just had the transmission replaced at 86k miles and 2.5 yrs........first warranty I have every bought for anything....dodged a bullet on that one....

Been about 2 days since the transmission replacement.....no issues, and I've been driving the piss out of it just to make sure

I should add...I dropped it off on Thursday morning, and got it back Friday afternoon........could not have gone smoother

I know this is a fairly old thread, but has this issue been fixed in the '23s? Just purchased a TB this past weekend, loving the truck so far, and was just curioius if there was data to support the 23s getting the correct lifters yet.

I have the J&L catch can too. I had heard about the noise problem from LonestarHawiian. So I bought a roll of hush tape on Amazon and wrapped the hoses before I ever installed it. No issues with noise. And the can does it's job. Attached is photos of what the can caught after emptying it the first time after 3000 miles.

How many rolls of hush tape did you end up using?

I had to replace the AFM lifters on my Tahoe a couple times. 1st time under warranty (I bought it used) They replaced only the one that collapsed. I did the other 2 times in my garage. It's actually a simple job to replace them. The hard part is getting the correct torque angle on the head bolts. The parts weren't too bad. Kind of a shitty design though.

Same exact issue with my 2020 TB. Unfortunately mine is outside of warranty. Looks like I’ll be paying out of pocket. Does anybody know if there was a recall for this issue. I get my oil changes at the dealership. And never heard anything about lifter issues. And advice?
