Biggest tire on stock boss

I've been following this thread this summer and I'm about ready to get rid of my stock tires on my stock 2020. I'm stuck between 295/70/18 and 285/75/18. I'm leaning towards the taller sidewall but this thread seems to favor the 295/70. Is there any reason for that? I'm thinking KO2's, no plans to lift, planning on trimming as necessary. Thanks for your suggestions!
I was in the exact same dilemma trying to decide between those sizes … a 35+/11ish or a 34.3 ish / 11.5 ish… the 295/70 just looks beefier , thicker so that’s what I went with .. and I’ve seen the 285/75’s on the stock TB .. the extra height vs the lack of girth made me choose the 295/70’s… with a wider aftermarket wheel your going to want the 295’s… and every discount tire has the 295 Nitto ridge grappler seems to always be in stock at any given day…very popular tire and size so always in stock

I know it’s a cost but getting the proper wheel offset to achieve the proper stance and control arm clearance. is best over spacers .. it’s so obvious when running spacers on stock wheels,..but I understand it’s an expensive expense buying a new set of wheels … and the gloss black trail boss wheels are very nice but not their positive 26 offset…just had my new wheels installed (ICON zero offset) , been out of town will post better pictures gents.
Hi JP, Your truck looks great, the new wheels look awesome! Wanted to touch base to confirm your setup before doing the same. From reading the entire thread it looks like your mods include a 1.5" RC Leveling kit with stock UCA's. The wheels are ICON Compression Rims, size 18x9 with 0mm offset and 295-70-R18 tires. Have you had any rubbing issues since the swap to the ICON's? Have you had any issues with rocks chipping your paint or an increase in mud/dirt on the sides of your truck from driving in the rain? Thanks flatlander.

Thanks brother , zero paint chips and haven’t notice an increase in a greater amount of mud and dirt on the side of my truck …. The zero offset really makes more room for beefier upper control arms … which will be coming soon .

Anyone running 295 / 70 / 18 on stock rims without spacers? I’m asking because it looks like everyone using this size mentions spacers in their options list.

Thinking Toyo Open Country A/T’s.

I’ve been a Jeep guy for a while so not very familiar with what works on my 2019 Trail Boss.

Running 295/70/18 wild peaks on my 2020 tb. No spacers and stock rims.

I sometimes get minimal rubbing but it hasn’t been a big issue.

I am looking to add spacers because I need some clearance in order to use snow chains. Not sure how the spacers will affect rubbing

Yes 295/70/18 will fit on stock wheels with zero rubbing … I was running them (Nitto ridge grapplers) on the stock wheels before I swapped to aftermarket wheels .

From what I’m reading it probably comes down to the brand and model tire. I‘ve found in my street car past that tire dimensions vary by brand enough that a slight rub with one brand is a huge rub with another. Being a newbie to Trail Boss I’m reading and listening before jumping on tires. The problem is that the dealer I’m buying the TB from is going to put on new rubber of my choice but I’ve got to decide pretty quick.

I Installed these Cooper Discoverer AT3 295/70R18 today. There is a slight amount of rub at full wheel lock. Also, Pep Boys warned me that I can hit the wheel liners if I hit a large bump. I am having a 1 1/2" front leveling kit from Rough Country installed next Monday that I hope solves both issues.
is the the 4s tires?

Running 285 60 20's on mine at stock height with 20" 0 OS wheels. Slight rub in reverse only and full turn. Very easy to remedy.

285/65/20 KO2s on Black Rhino Ark +12 offset with readylift 1.75 level and UCAs. Loving it! Perfect fit in my opinion with absolutely no rub anywhere
Man, that's the look I'm looking for. I know this is a couple years later, but what motor do you have? I just bought a 2023 with a 3.0 Duramax, which seems like it changes things. I was thinking same level with 285/60r20, but if I can fit 285/65r20's and have that stance, that's the ticket!

Do you have any pictures? I'm trying to decide what tires I want on my 20" stock rims, but I am also getting 1.5" spacers.
