What's new

Bilstein

see post number 19, ready lift has arms for stock or lifted....i recommend replacements. the GM BJ is junk

See previous post that has been updated. Took calling them and speaking to a specialist to go over design and confirm we would need a new UCA if going with the 1.2” lift of the Bilstein 6112’s.

be mindful, there are some control arms for Stock to XX height, and then others for 2.5" and up to 4".

do not confuse the Ready Lift arm for 2" AND 6" as the arm needed or your level, that arm is for stock angles....the 2.5" to 4" is what you would be looking for. just using that as a reference....confirm your choice will accommodate your total height

The Bilstein and ReadyLift UCAs seem to be the same tubular design.

As the specs are for a non Trail Boss, wouldn’t your addition lift be 1.5 meaning your total lift would be 3.5? And if you are truly getting 4.5” are you doing a diff drop as well to correct the angles for the axels?

correct, i am looking to go with a CST 4" Silverado front lift...cradles, knuckles and diff drop.
may add the uniball upper arms, or keep the full set of Dirt King arms

Very nice.. keep us posted on your progress when you start building it.

Bilstein 6112 and 5160’s finally installed and aligned. Loving the level and ride. So much better than the stock Rancho’s. For anyone thinking about this setup, just do it. No spacer needed on stock 18’s

I also added 6112 Bilstein fron coil over Struts. I went with Cognito UCA. I swapped out rear shocks with 5160 Bilstein. You'll notice the ride improvement quality immediately. Very happy with my setup. I still have stock tires but swapped out stock rims for Fuel Rims 9in with +20. I gain about a 1/2 from stock rims plus another 7mm with the +20. I may include a 3/8 - 1" spacers once I get new tires. None the less, I love how the Bilstein shocks ride over Rancho.

Mine went on yesterday. I love the way it takes railroad tracks and bumps now. The Ranchos bounced me everywhere.

The Bilstein’s are a bit pricier than the ReadyLift but the ride quality is so much better as we got away from the Rancho’s.
