GM Finally recalling '21-24 6.2L V8's

i hate to say this, as most have extended warranties...i would be looking hard at a replacement build from a reputable builder...something with out DFM/AFM....work it out that YOU SELECT the installer ( any ASE cert'd mechanic of choice)... then you take to a tuner or have that covered during the process.

@ColahouseNC a few year back, the same thing happened to my wife's 2015 LTZ 5.3.... just over 5 yrs old, 75k miles. The truck was babied and had religious 5k synthetic oil changes and dealer service since new. There was a known issue with the 5.3 at that time and a couple of service bulletins but our VIN was just out of the claimed affected range. I raised holy hell with the dealer, then directly with GM. They fought me tooth and nail but eventually gave us the parts at no cost and a break on the labor. It was still a couple of grand out of pocket.
Thanks for the reply, I will be doing the same , this is my 4th Chevy , first truck, had 3 Suburbans prior. Truly a fan just hope they stand by there product!

News report from today

One of the class action lawsuit firms is stating that there have been documented engine failures (consistent with the failure in the recall) for engines that are currently outside (newer) the date range.

that does not surprise me one bit
