Rough Country Bumper?

Not sure if anyone else has actually bought/installed an RC bumper, but I did on my 2018 Silverado. Was a really nice bumper at first, however it definitely started showing small signs of rust in small spots within a year of owning. The lamps that came with it also started to yellow pretty quickly as well. It was a great bumper, just gave me hesitation on ordering any other bumper from them

@silverstone The price does make me wonder where they cut corners. I expected the lights to be low quality. Those are easily replaceable. But if you have to replace the bumper itself sooner than later then this may be a time to stick with a buy once, cry once mentality.

I see they now have a hidden winch bumper setup. It looks to use the upper half of the existing bumper and replaces the plastic parts and skirts. Looks nice on our trucks in the pics. It is $899 and comes with the cheap lights too.

A Winch setup is what I would like but most for our trucks are not my taste. This one actually is. Maybe your case Of rust is an outlier. One can hope right? But coatings are a typical place to see corners cut, cost wise. The price does suggest efforts were made to keep cost down.

Yeah for sure. Like I said, it definitely could have been a one off on mine (and I hope for anyone else that it was. Especially since I no longer have to worry about it lol). I just figured I'd at least put the word out there to be cautious. I did get tons of compliments on it, and the shop that installed it didn't seem to have any issues. I was rearended, so figured it was the perfect time to upgrade. Honestly if I buy another one, regardless of quality, I'll probably have it rhino lined before installing. The finish was a little "softer" than I thought it would be.

Line-X would look sweet on this bumper and keep it from rusting… that’s what I would do.

Looks great but after doing some research it seems like it’s a less than par option on the quality. Has anyone seen the Hennessy Goliath bumper? Would love to have that front end.

Fab Fours makes that bumper… looks awesome on our trucks.

I love the extra skid plate for the entire approach angle.

Ya that skid plate is nice and clean looking… wish FabFours made one for the bumper I got damn it lol
