What's new

Welcome to TrailBoss.org - Introduce yourself!

Works well for me. I pick up stations over sixty miles away.

I couldn’t believe the power in the 6.2 TB when I first bought it. Absolutely best truck I’ve owned.

Welcome to the forum @trailboss20 - Cool pic!
My new hunting rig. 2020 Silverado Z71, Crew Cab Standard bed Trail Boss. Out on it's first hog hunt here in NorCal.

And the gas mileage is decent. The Tundra makes my Trail Boss seem like a Prius. I averaged 8mpg's in the Tundra.

I love the Decked Drawers. I have the factory steps if you're interested. 4 inch tube steps.

Hey everyone- got my 2021 LT a few months ago, 3000 miles in and I absolutely love it. So far I’ve had gator hyde done in the bed and I put on some Go Rhino running boards. Doubt I’ll do much else to it, this truck is beautiful stock.

I'm about to order the Go Rhino running boards. Can anyone tell me a reputable place to order them from?

What's going on everyone. I've got a 2022 Custom Trail Boss. Almost up to 5k miles. Looking to do a few simple things to her. Mostly small stuff. Suspension, running boards, and exhaust, mainly. If I see something I like here, I might do it too.

My name is Craig, I am from Casper, Wyoming. I originally had a 2019 Custom Trail Boss with the 5.3L and 6-speed transmission. I purchased it before anyone really knew what Trail Boss's were lol. A year and a half later, I decided to get rid of that truck and my 2015 Camaro SS for a 2021 LT Trail Boss with the 6.2L and 10-speed transmission. I didn't get to enjoy the Camaro very much out here in Wyoming. And I figured if I am getting rid of my baby, I better get something nice to make up for it lol. I knew I wanted another Trail Boss, but wanted more bells and whistles this time an more power. I was mostly wanting the 10-speed transmission this time, but the 6.2 was a plus. I love it so far! I haven't made any offroad upgrades as I feel like the truck is already capable enough for my needs, but I have added a few performance modifications. The crank should be running around 480 horses now while still getting similar MPG. Mileage is a little worse only because I have my engine in permanent V8 mode now, but I think the MPG sacrifice is worth the engine longevity!

Nice ride! Welcome, a lot of good information here. Casper WY......A very long time ago when I was young, dumb, and strong I worked as a roughneck in the oil patches outside of Evanston. Not young enough anymore to work at 20 below zero in 40 MPH winds with the snow falling horizontal. But they sure paid us kids well to endure that nasty job. Every vehicle out there was a 4wd truck.

Nice! Yes the oilfield is still the top industry in our state. Banking and tourism have become almost as big here in Casper, so now it isn't quite as devastating when the oil field crashes as it does more often these days.

But I have definitely come across some good info so far on this forum. I already stole (borrowed :ROFLMAO:) a few ideas for my truck lol.

Scott here: love the forum and it's already been very helpful! Picked up my 5.3 TB last week after

7 months in the waiting. made a last minute switch from the 6.2 once I saw the gas prices going off the charts and that both engines tow the same. Hopefully I'll be happy with it, so far its incredible in all respects. Now that we're broken in we'll take it towing this weekend (6000 lb travel trailer). We live in central CO at 7K ft and often tow up to 11K or so... should be fun!
