I often finding myself wishing I had went for the LT. I still like my truck, and like it enough to not unload it for something else, keeps me tinkering changing stuff I want upgraded at least.LT package is nice too.. just my experience having had both… power seat, center console, Bose , heated steering wheel, steering wheel controls ,power rear window, rear air , led lights, leather which I still use seat covers …not a big price jump Just nice to have … but when I had my base 2017 Sierra 4x4 it was good and it had led headlamps from factory …may just me now at my older age … I still love my 89 K5 Blazer( 30yrs with it) , which has none of that ..
I had originally had the dealer holding a beautiful black Custom TB for me before I bought my Sterling Grey TB LT. But when I went to look at it I had my wife and daughter with me and they had nothing but complaints about the comfort level in it (like a work truck) when we went for a test drive. My old 2016 RAM Tradesman back seats were nicer then the Custom TB. Thicker seat cushions with storage under the seats and in the floor. Plus for the money I was going to spend, it was in the low 50's. I was already adding up everything I was going to have to do to this truck. Spray in bedliner ($450) was one of them.I often finding myself wishing I had went for the LT. What size wheel spacers did you use? Is your truck leveled or stock?
Hmm that’s weird because I have stock 18’s on stock duratraks with 2” bora wheel spacers and no rub, didn’t have to modify anything. Wonder why yours were rubbing badly? I agree, the poke of the 2” spacers adds a great deal to the stance of the truck! IMO it’s just enough to give it a bit more aggressive lookJust after a quick 25 mile trip this morning, the truck feels and sounds a good bit different. I should’ve done one thing at a time, but the intake sound is quite nice. I’ve also turned off DFM with the Pulsar, and I’m not exactly sure what effect that may have had on sound. Setting 3 on the throttle response was a very nice surprise.
Mike, I went with 2” spacers and I’m at stock height until my new shocks arrive, and then I’ll install the RL SST 2.0. I did need to remove front flaps and their brackets or it would’ve rubbed badly with the stock size dura-traks. I’ve got McGaughy’s flap delete kit coming tomorrow. I may get aftermarket wheels at some point, but I really like the look of the stock 18’s, and I really like the amount of poke that the 2” spacers give. They were loctited and torqued to spec and I’ve run spacers on trucks for probably 20 years without an issue so I’m confident these will be just fine as well.
That is odd. I’d say these tires have less than 1k miles on them, but it was obvious they were touching plastic at full lock just sitting in the garage.
My truck had about 15k when I put them on. I’m wondering if they had worn down enough by then to not cause any issues with rubbing. That is odd. I’d say these tires have less than 1k miles on them, but it was obvious they were touching plastic at full lock just sitting in the garage.
