What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Not a big project but I like the results nonetheless; front and rear mud flaps!View attachment 145View attachment 146
Looks good! Did you know, as I found out recently, there are no caps at the ends of the side assists? I live in the northeast and I foresee a wintertime issue with snow and slush and road-salt entering these tube style nerf bars. I haven’t found a solution to this and neither has my dealer 🤦‍♂️

Took delivery Sunday . Since then I have tinted the windows, sprayed in bed liner, vinyl wrapped the chrome/fake wood interior pieces and added matte black Trail Boss stickers. Planning to blackout all of the emblems once this rain quits.

Future plans include:
•Go Rhino B20 side steps
•EFX Hard TriFold bed cover
•aFe Apollo GT Muffler
•S&B Cold Air Intake
Dunno why I’m just seeing this now….but those wrapped pieces look incredibly awesome. Gives me some ideas for mine…thank you for the share.

I finally installed the ZR2 struts and shocks I had since the beginning of the year. Also installed Cognito upper control arms and I believe was a 1" spacer I had on with the Trailboss struts. Had to use a 3/8 Bora spacer to clear the UCA. The 35's slightly touch the UCA arms with no spacer. Still on a search for 1" Bora spacers. Finished late so I didn't test drive it yet, just pulled it out and in the garage to see if the suspension would settle. Right now I am 42" all around.

I'm contemplating the Multimatic shocks. Did you buy the GM kit or find a take off set?

I got the struts as takeoffs that is why the stickers are missing because they were peeling off. The rears I got new from Rockauto.

I be honest I had the rears on for a month and they are great. Better ride than Fox or Bilstein.

Thanks for the info. My rear Bilsteins are a little stiff for what I do.

Did you just use the factory studs with the 3/8 spacers?

I had Bilsteins in the rear and had enough. Switched to the DSSV shocks. Rode great. Then I had the idea to just sell the DSSV's and put Fox 2.0 on. Fox's rode almost like the Bilsteins. After that I was set to keep the DSSV.

Yes they are the stock studs? I got over 7 full turns on the lugnuts. Alot of people are doing this but make sure you get a hubcentric spacer. This is temporary, I still plan on looking for a 1" Bora bolt on spacers or swap to a different wheel.

i think you should clarify which FOX you speak of....i have been in and around numerous vehicles with the DSSV setups...all have raved about the ride difference (for the better) that my Fox 2.5's offer. I have heard and rode in a few FOX 2.0 vehicles...they are FIRM (as they should be, being an off road shock).

far to many people think the FOX or BILSTIENS are going to offer a PLUSH ride, as to most they do not. they are a purpose use shock meant to control the 6K plus truck when used on rougher terrains. Having the Dual Speed Adjuster, i can soften the low speed shaft movement (on road travel), while having a firmer high speed shaft movement (more offroad and heavy hits)

Thank you. I was asking because I might use these when I get bigger tires in a couple of months. I have Readylift UCA’s and I know it’s gonna be close with a 285/70/18 or 285/75/18. Not really wanting any extra poke.

Watched the outerbands of Tropical Storm/Hurricane Debbie come in.

Pretty simple process just need time and patience. Excited to see what you end up with. Holler if you have any questions.

This kind of pisses me off. No matter where I look for these takeoffs, I'm being told they don't fit the trailboss.

You can buy a kit from GM with the ZR2 DSSV shocks/struts and rear leafs.
