I was thinking of having my local Line-X guy black out my chrome tips on the exhaust..I asked him about it and believe it or not he had no experience with that sort of mod..Surely I am not the only one who had this idea...? Anyone black out their exhaust tips.?? If so how..?

My 24 6.2 TB came with chrome so I jumped on eBay found some respectable black powder coated tips and got them installed professionally. Love the look and you don’t see many like it around town.

Gotcha, I bought a precut piece for $35 that fits perfect. If you do it yourself, use knife tape it'll keep you from cutting the paint on the scoop by accident.

Had the transmission recall completed last week. Pulled the motor and put the beast away for the winter. Repair and paint the lower doors in spring. A lot of stone damage to paint. Went through two sets of Nittos this summer. Burn outs were amazing though. Now to decide to put the 5.3L back in or put a 6.6L in for more torque. Happy Thanksgiving!
