2021 Trail Boss Tire Advice

Lots of great choices in tires these days.. ANYTHING but the oem Duratracs!! I hated those tires after 30,000 miles.. So LOUD.

I am also done with the duratracs. 18,000 miles and they are getting louder. Found a great deal on a set of BFG KO2's. Hopefully to have them mounted in 2 weeks. Waiting for the weather to get better.

FINALLY dumped the Duratracs after 58k miles. Went with BFG K02 All terrains. MUCH quieter, Wore out 4 sets on past Toyota Tacomas. Great in the snow and mud. Wear good also.
highway smooth and quiet? lots of peeps here keep referencing these tires.

Those definitely look good. what size did you go to?

35x12.5x18. The BFG's run a little smaller. I do have .75" of lift up front but I have a RL 1.75 kit just incase I need it.

Be sure to post the installed pics. I’d be interested to see if there’s any rubbing. They will look good for sure.

your Hello,

Can't wait to see the new tires installed. I just got my 2020 trailboss and want to do an upgrade on tires asap. I am okay with a bit of rubbing since I am use to it due to my previous 2014 silverado. I was thinking of swapping but these 22 inch ride rough and just want to run stocks on 35s if I can.

Send tire info and upload pictures once you have them on. Thanks 👍

Can't wait to see them on. I just got my 2020 TB and want to also upgrade to as close to 35s as I can get. I use to have a 2014 Silverado but do not want to swap wheels. 22 inch ride too rough.

Hey all anyone have any pics of the trail boss with the Cooper Discoverer AT3 4s with them on it? i have been going back and forth with those and the Toyo open country. i just do so much highway driving with only the occasional pulling of a 8foot trailer for my dirt bike and 4 wheeler and everyone i have talked to said the coopers they do not hear any highway at all. so i was wondering if anyone had a pic of them on their trail boss? before i make the purchase

AT3 XLT 35x12.5x20 on a 19 TB Custom. Minimal road noise compared to the duratracs. Feels better and more stable. I really like the Coopers. I have other pics on my profile

Since you are not using the truck really for any offroad duties I had these on a Tahoe and they were excellent... You did say mainly Highway...

Those are great tires for sure but most people want at least a semi-aggressive tread/sidewall on a lifted 4wd truck I would think. For appearance if nothing else:cool:

lol true …. but he bought a trail boss to drive the hwy and drive a ton interstate … so mostly hwy …. hwy tire …. wants quiet ….. hwy tire 😎 Silverado LT ? 🧐

For a highway tire with decent off road traction, the factory Bridgestone Dueler RSW's are really good. I put a lot of highway miles on my truck, almost 100K in 3 years, and the Dueler RSW's are far superior to my old duratracs on the the highway. They will not compete with the Duratracs for sand, mud, etc., but for hard pack, dirt roads, light slop, work in the field, etc. they are fantastic and are super quiet for the ride home on the highway.
