BOSE Premium Sound, Really?

Just picked up a ‘24 a few days ago. I know I have the woofer in the center console area, but does anyone know if it has an accessible gain control at the unit itself? That’s to say, ASIDE from the equalizer controlling the HU?
For the past few years the sub was left off of the Bose system, so I hope you are correct and they have added it back in. My 2019 has no separate control for the sub, just the normal bass, midrange and treble adjustments.

Yes. It’s back in on the 24. Guess I’ll have to pop open the console and get access to the woofer and see if there’s a separate gain control in it.

I would be curious just to see what it looks like in there if you open it up.

If it is I would be surprised, I've never heard any else mention having one. Also, if it was one on there then why would they hide it?? It would be nice to have one as the bass can be overpowering at times even when it's at the middle setting.

Just bought a 24 TB, in fact i have yet to take delivery. That said i saw some window stickers that said " premium Bose with Rich bass subwoofer" and others that are just " Bose premium ". Not sure which i have yet.

I'm also contemplating upgrading the speakers to the C1's in the doors and the Kenwood KFC's on the dash. That set up is getting some pretty good reviews.

On my 2024 LT the Bose premium sound only came with the "Convenience Package II" for $1350 extra. It definitely has the subwoofer under the center dash and it is very heavy, deep bass sounding. In fact the bass is overwhelming but the highs are super-weak. My equalizer is set at 50% bass, 50% mid-range and 100% highs. I tested with high quality source from USB music (originally CD) to determine a good balance, but the highs are still missing and I am looking to replace the paper cone ones with decent aftermarket.

My 21 LT Bose sound is good enough for me. I was raised if it ain't broke, don't fix it. My it needs more power boost days are in the past.🤣

The Pioneers were not as clear or as loud. Luckily I only snipped the wires on one speaker instead of both so I only had one to solder back up. I alternated touching the wires between both numerous times with different types of music, and the Bose speakers were the clear winner. If the Pioneer would have been louder then it may have actually sounded as good or possibly better, but if anyone else tries swapping out the dash speakers I would strongly recommend that you get speakers with a high SPL spec.
Anyone know what ohm the Bose speakers are? In my Ram with the Alpine system they used a 2.7 ohm ( or close to that) and the guys swapping out the factory speakers were not always keeping the specs on the anew speakers close. They would put in a 4 or 8 ohm speaker and it would be much quieter.

A complaint I have about the radio in my LT TB is.... for being premium sound in a $64K US truck, I have heard way better from basic setups. My old truck for one. This truck is totally lacking bass, which I see in other premium packages that include a sub- woofer. I have gone into the EQ and played with the settings and fader and still not even getting close to the sound I had in the RAM. Without adding an after market add on, has anyone found the sweet spot for your current setup? It is really sad that I have to add to something that I paid for in the first place. Usually, when I by anything BOSE anything, it has always been top notch, heck even 12 years ago we had an Nissan Armada with a BOSE system in it and it was awesome. Definitely thinking about the next time I am at the dealer, complain to them about the non premium sound I am getting from my stock premium sound. Sorry just me venting. But I would be interested if anyone has maybe found a good setting for the STOCK premium sound. I do see a lot of info on YouTube adding a subwoofer which would definitely help this setup extremely. But I just feel I shouldn't have too.
I agree with you 100%. I have a 2020 Camaro with the Bose system and it sounds a million times better then what is in my Trail Boss.

The same stereo can sound different in different vehicles. Depends on the set up and the acoustics of the vehicle.

I've got a 24 with the Premium LT Trail Boss Package and not sure if there's a sub. I've got the bass cranked and if there is one I'd say it's lacking. Gonna have to explore and see for sure. I don't like the fact that you have to turn it up 1/3 just to hear.

Same here! I’ve had a few GM Bose systems throughout the years and this one has the least bass for sure. If there IS a subwoofer in there, it’s not doing much!

Have you faded to the rear speakers yet? Mine sound like tweeters almost. They have no bass at all. The front door speakers are the only ones with any punch. My 2016 GMC Canyon I just traded in had the Bose system as well and it sounded light years better than my 24 Trail Boss. I will be adding the kicker sub very soon.

I have a 21' that i bought new and it has the sub in the center console. Within a few months I added some kicker 8s to mine for that extra sound. Mids and highs are perfect for me. Have you done anything since this post
