Isn’t the intercooler mounted on top of the motor? And the oem bumper doesn’t have any cooling abilities. I personally don’t see how it’s a problem.

I should have noted, this is the Matrix with the Pre-Runner Guard. I wonder if that affects airflow.
I am not familiar where the intercooler is on the diesels as I have a gasser.

I just checked their website.
The Matrix with and w/o the pre-runner guard, both have the disclaimer "Not Compatible with Diesel Models or Turbo Charged Engines"
I would suggest contacting them to see if they can provide the "Why"?

Let me say... Fab Fours support is the best.
Received the bumper and after unpacking, it was scratched and banged up due to poor packing (or should I say lack there of).
Reached out to Zoro who I ordered it from as well as Fab Fours. Fab Fours was very apologetic and gave me 3 options.
1 - They offered $$ for me to keep bumper and paint the scratches
2 - Bring to a shop and get estimate to redo coating (If not outrageous, they would cover bill).
3 - Get replacement but find out from Zoro who the distributor was they got the bumper from.

I choose option 3.
Fab Fours offered to contact them after two days of no response to find out where we were with the replacement.
and kept the case opened until I let them know the replacement was shipped.

New bumper should be here next week.

So after 1st one was damaged in transit then replacement was delayed for a week , I finally received the Matrix bumper.
I have disassembled the front end and have the winch plate/winch installed.

In installing the parking sensors, I need some guidance.
On the factory bumper, the two inner sensors are flush, the two outer sensors are angled - which is the best way to orient the outer two on the Matrix Bumper?

Very nice! I like the way they made the winch cradle. I had to get creative with the Move bumper I built and probably went a little overboard. Haha..but it'll "Move" anything . How do you like the Smittybuilt winch? I went with Warn and have had Mile Marker in the past.

I haven't really used the SmittyBilt, except for respooling once in awhile in previous truck (2010 Silverado).
I did tear it down, re-grease it and confirmed it still works before installing on the Trail Boss. Would hate to have it fail and have to pull the bumper off.
I was contemplating getting a Warn but couldn't justify the $$$ considering I had the SmittyBilt.
