Running board recommendations

Did you install them yourself and if so, do the bolt on with no mods? I like the way they look and don’t hang down too low. Also, how is the footing with them? Thanks.

Yeah I installed them with some help from the my friend that owns a tire shop. We each took one side to attach the brackets. It could be done without a lift, but the lift sure helped expedite the install. It was very easy to install, no modifications, just removal of some plastic tabs covering the pre-drilled holes. We watched this video to get an idea on how to install it.

For the footing, I wear a size 10 and I got lots of room getting in and out for both the drivers side and passenger side. Just be sure to get the bedliner finish to get that grippy feel.

I installed the Amp-Research retractable running boards. I didn't like the idea of sacrificing ground clearance with a static running board. Looks cleaner IMO.

I second the Havoc. They check all the boxes. Tucked in, lightly black textured and ease of vehicle entry. They also make your vehicle less susceptible to door damage

Guys, what running boards are you running on your Trailboss? I have a red hot red 2021 crew cab I need to add some to. Not sure if I want a tube style or wider one. Thoughts? Thanks fellas.

I did the Tyger running boards. Really impressed with the quality and raptor like design tight to the truck. I got rid of the factory Pathfinder style nerf bars. Hated them
