What did you do to your Trailboss today? 🛠️

Finally got around to installing the S&B CAI. I know these things get mixed reviews, but I did it for the sound and so far ( in my 4-5 mile post-install beer run), the truck sounds like an animal with the intake and spintech muffler. Just a deep, guttural bellow. I was quite amused with the results.

I’m torn between this and the cold air inductions. But I have a spintech muffler and I think the subtle sound difference would be worth it for me.

I may have looked at the Cold Air Inductions kit a while back but I’ve been sold on the S&B kit for a while. I’m definitely not disappointed. The change in sound is pretty dramatic if you know what to listen for. I didn’t install the box plug, so I expected the under hood sound difference to be more dramatic than it actually is. The exhaust sound, however, is great. Well worth it…

K&N also has a kit that is just the tube from the throttle body to the stock airbox. I put it on my truck.

Looked at it and wished there wasn't salt on the roads. Wanted to mix the fluids up a little. Oh well. Need to move to an all year gift of off roading. Have a few years before retirement though. Picture is from last March 2024.

Finally swapped out my battery today with an Interstate.

Had it for a month and finally made time today to do it since I had the garage heater on.

Sorry you bought the worst battery out there. Had several battery industry people tell me that they are the worst of all brands out there.

I guess I will find out. This is they only brand I used for many, many years and had no issues.

So, you have no experience with it actually being bad, and are just regurgitating what people told you................ this is why social media is full of people spouting random BS

When people WORKING FOR ANOTHER BATTERY COMPANY tell you this, YES, I listen. They said there's really only about 4 battery makers and all the other "brands" are just house branded batteries from one of the major manufacturers. It was multiple people from DIFFERENT companies that have all said Interstate were junk. For YEARS all the hype was about Optima Batteries. I've had a yellow top and 2 red tops and both were crap after just a couple years when a regular battery would last MUCH longer for a lot less.

i have always heard that there were very few that actually make the batteries...i also recall nearly all of them having a great product, then quality issues, then back....it always happens.

best way to put this, is this...WHAT IS EASIEST TO GET, HAS THE POWER YOUR NEED, AND CONTAINS THE EASIEST OR LONGEST WARRANTY ???

if i needed a battery, mine had a warranty....but was 3 hrs away at a specialized store...WALMART would be my go to. (not really), but you get the point...go for the best warranty for what you need.
